Surely he will take this comfortably.

16 Premier League goals - 19 in all competitions. It'd be nice if he got 20 PL goals.

He is certainly in the top 3. I think our POTY is Ndidi with Vardy and Maguire fighting it out for second and third.

Agreed, he should win it easily but he's been here too long I think people are used to him. Players who've been here for years don't tend to win it as often, there's always more novelty involved in newer players. So it wouldn't surprise me if Maguire or someone won it instead.

I think he's been quiet in the last few games, whilst still weighing in with goals.

I think I'd give it Ndidi

Love Vards though - one of our best ever players

It's a shame the transfer saga will have tainted Riyad because he's been absolutely superb on the pitch for most of this season.

Probably agree with Bert though, I'd personally vote JV but can see Ndidi winning.

Hand on heart, I think Riyad had been our standout player until the end of the January window.

Even after his return he was the best of the bunch and has only started to look a bit out of form lately.

Ndidi has actually been a bit inconsistent and a liability at times, but his role in this team make him stand out. Especially when he's NOT playing!

I've had a lot of love for Vardy this season (and last). He gets so little service at times and has to fashion his own chances, but my word is he impactful when he gets the ball! So often you see a sweet strike or a great low cross from him. He's managed to look after his body well and has been available for every game I believe. I'd be happy if he got PotY.

It’s not tackler of the season it’s player of the season and Ndidi is very far from being the finished article in all round play rather than just breaking up play. The lads passing and shooting over the season needs a lot of work.

Vardy all day long for me and Harry M a close second before Wilf is even discussed.

Mate, I'm voting for Vardy. But I just feel the players will vote for Wilf and it's the same with most of our fans. A few good tackles, stats from social media and some people can't look past that.

He's had a great return. If he got to 20 goals then yes, maybe he will get it. He's had a good season and some of his goals (vs Spurs and West Brom) were class. He's also improved his game by being more than just a finisher now.

I'd personally give it to Wilfred Ndidi who I think has been our most consistent player (which is saying a lot). This season has been unusual in that most of the team have been OK. No one has been dreadful, but no one has consistently stood out. Mahrez at times has been sensational but has been too hit and miss for me to get it. I guess this is why we find ourselves in mid-table as a bang average side.

Based on performances, Mahrez all the way, closely followed by Ndidi and Vardy. The january saga won't change the fact that he was involved in more than 80% of our goals, the game changer or winner in many and  most consistent performer over the season bar the last two games (especially the last one) where he was shit.

Now player of the season? No.

What happened in january pretty much killed our momentum and the two games where he was on strike cost us dearly. A real shame.

The poll will be hijacked anyway, so Mahrez will win fans' player.

Vardy's goalscoring return really is outstanding though- our best in the top flight for a long time aside from him in 2015/16.

It's a long time since a club our size has managed to keep such a prolific striker at this level for an extended period of time, and it's that longevity you need to ensure legend status. We've gained a fair few club legends over the last 5 years, and Vardy certainly tops that list.

Has to be Vardy given his goals tally. Even more so in a negative team.

Think Maguire, Mahrez and N'Didi battle it out for 2nd and 3rd.

Top 3 for me (mainly based on consistency and input for the season):

Jamie Vardy

Harry Maguire

Riyad Mahrez

Ndidi for Mahrez and you're spot on!

Vardy gets my vote for player of the year.

Level of service he's been given today has been pretty poor yet he's going to hit 20 goals in all comps.

Maguire gets my vote. He has been outstanding, consistently hitting 8 out of 10 or higher with a not so good performance for him being a 6 (I think Saturday was an example of this). The only time he’s actually had a bad game was Man City away

Sorry, yeah I was agreeing with you - apologies the tone of the post didn't probably read like that although the intent was to back up your concerns!

Yeah but Ndidi runs around loads.

In terms of overall contribution it's Harry Maguire for me. Would have been Riyad if the whole Man City farce had never happened. JV in second place for me.

Vardy, Mahrez, Maguire, the top three in that order.

God knows how you can't include Mahrez. Double figures for goals and assists.
