Cheeky loan for Rashford. Reportedly not very happy with his limited game time at United. Not the most important position to fill admittedly

We ought to have a specialist cheeky loan department ...   there's loads to go at ...    and if you cast your net wide ...

No to trippier. Watch him for England. Refuses to take anybody on despite apparently being an attacking full back.

You deserve a medal for bringing up James Ward-Prowse, @Ian Nacho.

Best of a bad bunch at Southampton, alongside Ryan Bertrand and Dusan Tadic.

wheres his best position? to me he's never looked anything special in open play, but perhaps an average player is okay

Clearly central midfield, and certainly an upgrade on King and/or James.

not sure I agree; hes played there once this season (whoscored.com) , and I've seen numerous Southampton fans mention he doesn't get stuck in... His technical ability besides a wicked set piece isn't great either. Don't get me wrong, anything around £10m i'd say is worth it but otherwise look elsewhere.

If Puel is still here and going with his 4231, lots of options I think we should look into

GK - Yan Sommer (Monchengladbach)

RB - Cedric (Southampton) / Santiagio Arias (PSV)

CB - Dragovic Permanently

CB - Jack Stepens (Southampton) / Alfie Mawson (Swansea) / Ben Gibson (Middlesbrough)

LB - Bertrand (Southampton) / Jonny Castro (Celta)

CM - Ward-Prowse (Southampton) / Drinkwater (Chelsea)

CM - Jean Seri (Nice) / Dendoncker (Anderlecht)

RW - Shaqiri (Stoke) / Zaha (Palace)

AM - Thorgan Hazard (Monchengladbach) / Ben Arfa (Free) / Lanzini (West Ham) / Maddison (Norwich)

LW - Sessegnon (Fulham) / Sisto (Celta

ST - Plea (Nice) / Rashford (Man Utd Loan) / Kramaric (Hoffenheim) / Ekambi (Angers)

Anyone that thinks we have a chance of signing Rashford, even on loan, is seriously overestimating our pulling power.

Why? Players from top clubs go out on loan to clubs like us all of the time. Whether they want to loan him out is another matter entirely

Doubt Man Utd would send him out on loan to anyone else in the top 6, unlikely to go abroad, why not us?

Lascelles - cracking potential, surprised he hasn't been called up for England.

Trippier - probably the least unlikely, but if we can get him he's definitely worth the money to us.

Shaqiri - A great player in a sh*t team, he'd be a great replacement for Mahrez and hopefully not too expensive... however his contract is till 2020.

Mooy/Shelvey - Both are similar to me; with them being creative, leaders as well as getting stuck in; definitely would prefer Mooy as he doesn't tread on danger as often.

for under £100m which sounds a lot, but I think would be prove well worthy for our side I think these could be the signings to take us up a level or atleast preserve it. They are also suggestions made with the assumption we lose Mahrez but keep the spine of Vardy, Maguire and N'didi.

And what with both of them being baldy slapheads.

Shelvey would be a good MF partner for Ndidi, slipping those through balls in for Vardy. Can't see Newcastle letting him go right now though.

Surprised with peoples left back selections.

I'd look no further than Kieran Tierney to be honest. Absolute beast!

Right back there's too many options to list, but Simmo knows it's his time to be back up so i'd be happy to see us spend a lot of money here!

I'd love to see us go for Shaqiri but I think he's not really interested in the Prem unless it's top 6 given his comments that even Ronaldo couldn't save Stoke right now... seems he doesn't like being the big fish.

Center back I'd like to see us get two, Lascelles looks a leader and I think he likes that role at Newcastle, another season in the Prem under Rafa with some good signings and they could easily challenge sixth again so I think he'll be tough to buy!

A goalkeeper is a must for me, it wont be the popular opinion but i'd like to see us sign a number 1. I was impressed with Onana at Ajax when I watched him live. We need a Sweeper Keeper under Puels tactics as well.

Up top is tricky, it almost seems like we'll never change enough to fit in Vardy and another so we can't really sign anyone good up top until he's left or started to age!

I personally think there is enough talent at CM when all options are fit but we certainly need to look into good back up in this area.

Its not that simple to crack top 6 these days. They are more than a few players off cracking that. We wont crack it whilst weve still got egos in our squad that seem to pick and choose when they want anew manager.
