Considering he got the best out of our two most expensive signings when he was at Sporting Lisbon, he'd be worth a look. Giving Hull even a glimpse of staying up was a minor miracle considering their squad. Watford is a difficult one, because nobody knows what was going on there. The Everton interest seemed to wreck them, before that they were flying.

Stop being sensible

I can understand why we'd want Silva if he could potentially get the best out of Slimani and Silva.

The Slimani ships sailed i think.

Hes not a number 10 just like Iheanacho is not.  None of them are going to play over Vardy in the number 9 spot at the moment and ill much rather have Iheanacho as his successor.

James, Simpson, Kasper, Iheanacho all Manchester. Okazaki, Fuchs, Mahrez all down south. Albrighton, Gray Birmingham. Huth Cheshire.

The only ones living local are the new lads who moved from other countries as they are put up in Stoneygate when they first arrive usually.

Maguire - Sheffield

Dragovic - london

Chilwell - MK

Silva, Iborra, Ndidi, Benny, vardy - Leicester

I'm amazed at quite how many are so against the idea to be honest. I'd probably aim higher first, but he's being a bit unfairly written off here.

Anyone else finding it hard to get excited about any managers because they'll be out within 6-12 months anyway?

Probably take less than that for the Out mob to start up again if we lose 2 in a row.

The only ones who have been in Stoneygate are mahrez and Okazaki

Going by last night, there’s absolutely no plans to sack him it seems. He is here until at least next season.

I can’t personally believe the hype which the fans seem to have been causing, calling for his head.

i doubt very much he is even close to his he sack

the situation we are now in, is very different to Pearson, Claudio and even Shakey

Tedious link if ever I saw one!

Obviously I have been touting him as my choice though, so I'd be happy with that if true.

He is still relatively unproven and his record and conduct at Watford aren't anything to boast about, although he did have a promising start.

I have just always been impressed with him and think he is a manager who has a bit of everything, in terms of a good relationship with his players, a decent tactician and plays a good brand of football with intensity and some flair. He also seems to have a decent eye for a player and his signings with Hull and Watford seemed to have a positive impact. Seems to have no issue dropping the fan's favourites either, aka Troy Deeney!

I know many will be suggesting much bigger names again, but we are always brought down to the real world when we realise who is actually willing to come here!

He is available now and knows the league well enough, that I would feel comfortable that his bedding in period would be minimal.

If we lose to West Ham. Sack Puel. Announce Silva before the end of season!

Vardy moved from Melton to Lincolnshire last year.

I thought he was near Rutland

Okazaki was living in Salisbury House at the top of New Walk until Christmas. No sign of him since then. Used to see him almost every morning pulling out in his i8 and then walking around the area most evenings.

Laurie Whitehall is quite reputable.

I'll believe it when John Percy says it.

Though saying that I'd also believe it if Bernie said it.

Swings and roundabouts.

He's good friends with Percy and Stuart James. You'll find these three are the closest to the club in the national press.

Sorry mate I was pretty tired when writing that post last night

OK. You and Cardiff Fox are right though - Laurie Whitwell in the Mail, John Percy in the Telegraph and Stuart James in the Guardian are the most reliable Journo's for City news.

Is it really?

His points tally is worse than Shakeys.

Neither  has he got us promoted or won the PL

The football is atrocious and our form is off the charts with the line going down.

If he stays players leave; thats what I predicted months ago; now it’s in the paper!

No thanks, mercenary. Wanted to leave Watford for Everton months into a 2 year contract. As soon as a bigger club came sniffing round he'd be off.

I want someone here who can give us 4 - 5 seasons like Nigel did.

Silva would be looking for his next job from day one here.

All it would take is Everton flashing their knickers at him again and he’d be off.
