One of his given names is Barbosa, just like Pereira.

I've always wanted a Barbosa.

I'd love two.

possible replacement for Mahrez or a new No.10?

Kids still only 21!!

TBF Barcelona are shocking defensively, there attack and Messi in particular paper over the cracks.

Pique, Umtiti, Alba, Semedo, Roberto which one of those wouldn't you take? It's probably more a case of their focus is so much on the attack, which is incredibly good that their defense looks worse than it is.

Great that we got Pereira but I'd be wary of all these links with OG Nice players.

Like junior Lewis playing on Taylors teams all those years ago.

So those who are saying he’s shit, have seen enough of his play to be able to make a fair assessment?

Nice's 52 goals conceded in 38 league games hardly suggest he was a rock at the heart of their defence. Still, he would probably be a slight upgrade on Wes at this point.

We let 60 goals in in the same amount of games, harry maguire has still been a standout defender for us.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to realise that a team can let in a lot of goals for a variety of reasons - one would be a porous midfield, another would be a weak link. One of the reasons we let so few in in 15/16 was Huth, another enormous one was Kante. He hid a lot of sins.

It's whatever the in thing is at the time. 2 or 3yrs ago if you mentioned a player from a relegated side he was shite. Like its one players fault a team got relegated.

But this season the in thing is wanting to fill the squad with players from the relegated 3.

More sheep than Derby this place.

In fairness though this year there are some unusually good relegated players, I certainly never expected stoke and wba to go down, well not at the start of the season anyway :)

if we were to sign a cb from Ligue 1 we better sign Glik from Monaco, he's quality

Yeah then we'll sign that Neymar from Paris he looks okay.

But then people on here slating how bad the prem was this season. But would then take three players from each of the relegated sides.

If the prem was really so bad how have these sides gone.

Seems to me people are happy to say whatever to win or prove a point. It's one or the other it can't be both.

That is true :) I didn’t think the premiership was bad this year, it’s just outside of the top 6 there is such a compression of similarly matched teams :)
