Apparently Pereira was playing on the wing in training, maybe Puel sees him as the replacement all along

I always saw Ricardo as the replacement for Mahrez but more as enabling us to change our formation.

Me too but I think he played on the wing for Puel

Surely we’d be buying another RB if they are expecting Ricardo to play there?

Personally wouldn’t have any of those as first choice and I’d like to think Puel wouldn’t either

Haha, I'd not rule it out anyway mate. He could play with Amartey at RB and Pereira RW which essentially would be like 3-4-2-1 on the attack anyway.

Wait until we line up in an old-school 2-3-5, no need for right-backs any longer.

Wish we had bought Gylfi. But no... he was too much money.. whinge whine.. and now we are sat on piles of dosh demanding high fees for our players because we don't need or have to sell.

All gone a bit quiet. Seems like we're being linked with more CB' s due to the Maguire rumours.

square pegs round hole

He was a winger to start with, so perhaps a square peg with some rounded corners that ever so neatly fits.

Its an option, that's all... we'll still go for another one. I'd Puels hands are tied until we can sell them he's right to think about those options.

Im sure we'll still get another winger, even if it's short term.

It'll also mean we'd be playing a slightly varied 3-4-2-1 essentially. Fans waffle on about wanting wing backs but then fail to realise it's essentially 5 defenders, 2 central midfielders, 2 attacking midfielders and a striker.

We're not going to play a back four in three successive pre-season matches and then abandon that idea completely once the season starts.

Again, I don't understand where that fascination for a three-at-the-back formation stems from.

Ah, nostalgia.

I'd rather we look forward instead of backwards.

Oi we won 2 League Cups with 3 at the back! What did 4 at the back ever do for us?
