What's the record for the number of times a team has kicked off the new season consecutively? We are probably holding the record for it with this fixture announced!

Well I for one think it's great we get to kick it off. The Arsenal game last year was brilliant (last ten minutes aside), and it gives us all an opportunity to see our new side play in front of the bright lights. Plus it's probably the best possible time to play Man United away, anything can happen on the first day of the season as many players will still not be properly match fit after the world cup (though sadly this also applies to us).

You don't expect to win at Old Trafford, but who knows, stranger things have happened!

Sky are dicks.  Was looking forward to going to this now because of the stupid kick off time and work commitments I cannot.  Would have been nice to have a 3pm kick off on the Saturday.

Can't do any worse than our surrender at Old Trafford under Shakey last season.

We're always pathetic at Old Trafford. I don't expect us to get anything this time around either but we've taken some embarrassing pastings there. Worryingly of our four trips there since coming up I'd rank Shakey's effort as second best. At least they had to work.

Is that the surrender that involved holding them at bay for 70 minutes?

Didn't create much, but it wasn't exactly the first half capitulation under Ranieri. That performance was a disgrace.

Man United isn't that bad it's now 8. Could have been worse. I can still finish work and quickly get on train. 8pm KO probably makes it better for that.

We now just wait for BT and Amazon to move the games they want.

BT already done theirs and haven’t picked one of our games. Amazon not this season either

Obviously don't know where you are based or if you plan on staying over in Manchester but if you live in the Midlands and intend to come back that night there doesn't appear to be any trains returning after 20.38.

Oh shit sorry man. I live just outside of Sheffield so it's alright for me - but yeah, the last train to Leicester is 20.38. Absolutely mental but TV companies have no thought for fans that actually go to games.
