I’m more interested in who will be the scapegoat for all you haters out there?

...Apart from Puel & Rudkin

Already covered elsewhere - Wellens.

Or The Boogie.

Thanks Nostradamus

I don't agree with his opinion either but making fun of the hump on his back is going too far tbh.

TBH it depends a lot how the season starts. We all know how much momentum counts for.

You just never know before the season starts. Would be interesting to do this poll again after five games.

we have got relegation written all over us at the moment we just have not got enough good centre backs and that is a concern and know evens injured that means wes morgan is going to play and that is where the problem is. what the hell the scouting department and john rudkin doing

If I was a none Leicester fan I would think Leicester to be relegated could be a decent punt to winning a few quid. Similar to Stoke last year where nobody expected them to be woeful.

I don't get all this relegation rubbish we have signed three players that have improved the first 11 granted we have lost Mahrez but it's not the makings for relegation... if anything the team should perform better and possibly gel better than last year and with Nacho coming on strong at the end of last season and Maddision looking like a creative player that could replace Mahrez's assists I don't see what the problem is, Am I missing something?

I think there are 2 main reasons why many posters are feeling pessimistic:

First, the fact that our wide options look underwhelming at best following the loss of Mahrez.

Secondly, people think that competitor clubs, including 2 of the promoted clubs, have done very good business, buying players who would have improved our first eleven.

who would have improved our first 11?

I imagine people are thinking about Seri, Mawson, Anderson, Yarmalenko, Mountinho, Schurrle.

Sadly gone for 13th-17th. I think Puel will be one of the first to be sacked as his job security is already quite low going into the new season and the expectations are probably going to be quite high.

I felt last year has put him in a very tough position. Largely self-inflicted, he wasn't pragmatic enough and tried to get too many players playing a style of football that they aren't really capable of producing effectively - hence the ease in which teams started coming here, playing for a point and getting it.

Yet despite this, we still came 9th, so people are going to demand we better that, despite two things:

- We've lost our best player

- I cannot believe the league will be as collectively weak as last year, it just can't be can it?

I feel like we could actually improve as a team, finish 10th in a stronger league, yet it be considered a failure.

Of course, Puel getting the boot means another year of chopping and changing and another year of turbulence.

I'd love Puel to succeed here, I think he's got some good ideas about football and if he did succeed we'd see a return to genuine year on year progression. He'd also implement a philosophy where the club focuses stronger on its youth and this is something that we've never properly had.

But I just don't think he'll get that time and there's no guarantee at all that if he does, that he does succeed.

And also if we do sack Puel, I have absolutely no idea how anyone can have faith in those recruiting the managers to get it right for next time, especially with yet another mid-season appointment.

An underwhelming 13th.

13-17th. Like others have said, Puel starts on a tightrope. We have a squad full of players that know they aren’t wanted, with no World Cup etc I worry about Vardys motivation and we are going to rely on players that as of yet haven’t performed.

I hope I’m proved massively wrong of course.

Saints? Really. Think again.

They're right in the mix for me. Don't rate Hughes one bit and they've not really brought a great deal into a squad that clearly isn't as good as I thought it was.

I don’t think we’re as strong as the “mid table” teams, and Europe is firmly off the cards. I worry about our ability to score, I think we’re going to be very ineffective in front of goal now Mahrez has gone. I’d like to think there’s three worse teams than us, but I’d argue both Fulham and Wolves are stronger than us, Cardiff not so much. It will be a very interesting season it with either be brilliant, or awful.... I don’t anticipate anything in between....

OK, fair enough.  Some good names on paper. I think we should be confident in our players one season on.  Only a couple of these would be close to our full strength starting 11 imo.

The loss of Mahrez is far more significant than many on here seem to appreciate. Without him we have virtually zero creativity. Maddison is a decent prospect but he's young and unproven at this level. Evans is not that good for me. We are a weaker team without Mahrez and have a manager who is far from convincing.

The question for me is are there 3 teams we can be confident are going to be worse than us? A the monent I'd have us on a level with Cardiff, Huddersfield, Watford and Brighton as likely to struggle.

We simply don't have enough players who can score goals on a regular basis. We're overloaded with strikers most of whom are useless and only have Vardy who looks like being a regular goal scorer. Midfield still looks very uncreative and has players either too slow or mainly unfit. Think the season will be a long hard struggle.

A very, very boring midtable season.

The loss of Mahrez will be huge and we still look pretty weak at the back Maguire aside.

Don't think we are in any danger of going down.

It was the ‘I put us on par with Cardiff, Huddersfield etc’ bit that tickled me

Cardiff are coming into the Premier League with Sol Bamba in defence and Kenneth Zohore up front. No way are we anywhere near them.

Of course - I just think laughing at someone for an opinion isn't the best really -  a constructive counter opinion works better,
