I hope not everyone is following suit as we'll have some pretty shvt Leicester fans wanting us to get relegated

Imagine that, eh? Could NEVER happen here...

Max onward and upwards.

3 years ago my mate said to me " your teams 5000/1 are you gonna put a tenner on them "

I said " What and lose a tenner "

£50,000      So what price Top 6  ?

At the risk of repeating myself, I'm going to repeat myself. If you bet £10 you lose £10 lol

If you were on us at 5000/1 two years back, I suggest you close all your accounts and never bet again, you're ship has already come in mate

Edit - I've just re-read your post and realise you weren't on us at 5000/1. If you feel that was an opportunity missed, I reckon you could make up for it with roughly an £8000 bet on us to finish top 6.

In all seriousness, it's not beyond the bounds of possibility for us to finish top 6 Chico. I just don't see it happening personally and I don't think the odds will be favourable enough to make me put a wager on it. In fact, I think they'll be pretty stingy considering we are a team in transition. You go for it though, best of luck mate

Max 17/1 is the best I can get and I'm Welsh which is the next tightest nation to the Scots or perhaps that's just me.

So I'll give it a miss buddy

17/1? For a top 6 finish? That doesn't seem that stingy to me at all. Who is that with?

Hahaha, didn't read the odds more like mate lol

To be honest, I thought it would be nearer 6/1 so I suppose 10/1 with VC is an improvement on that. It's still nowhere near high enough for me though.

Who knows, I think practically everyone on here is hoping for our 'gem' signing still to take place though it's looking less likely with each passing day. If we can get another (proven this time) creative player in, I think our chances would increase greatly.

I'm pessimistic by nature though and I hope you optimists are closer to the mark than me. I'm really not sure what to expect this season and would be satisfied with a top half finish I think.

8th or 9th.

Reckon it will be another one of those non descript seasons (which we'll crave for when we're in the championship next).

I think we could do well. We've improved our defence tenfold and despite losing Mahrez we've already added some creativity in the middle. Hopefully we bring in another creative winger OR trust in Gray and Diabate to keep developing; fortunately Puel is well known for developing young players!

Keeping Schmeichel, Maguire, Ndidi and Vardy is as important as a marquee signing.

I get the pessimism of some people based on the back end of last season but we did have an awful time with injuries, suspensions, Mahrez's mardies, at least 9 players with one eye on the world cup AND with survival & top half already achieved, the games didn't really matter anyway.

That was an abberation. This season we've got a better squad and will be aiming for Europe. We will finish 6th.

It's still to early to say. There's a few incoming and outgoing before Aug 10th.

When we really know the squad then we'll be better placed to say.

What does worry me is where the Mahrez 20 goals and assists are coming from.

Can Gray step up. Can Vardy maintain his ratio, Can Madison contribute 6 to 10 goals.

I feel we need one more strong midfielder for the left side similar to N Diddi then we'll be all right.

I understand all this negativity surrounding Puel etc but i honestly believe he's going to do what he believes is the right thing for the club. Plus the owners have absolute faith in him... for now.

Either way i will support the team and the club through all the ups and the downs.

I think that worries most of us.

Maybe we'll benefit from not relying on Riyad so much. You'd hope with more game time that Gray will contribute goals. He has his failings but having a pop at goal isn't one of them. Again, you'd hope that Maddison can chip in, as you say.

I imagine most know we're unlikely to replace Mahrez with one player so it's up to the rest to chip in. 6 goals each from 3 players and we're getting near the mark. It's a very big season for some, let's hope someone 'grasps the nettle'. I have high hopes for what Maddison can achieve without expecting anything totally unrealistic.

Mid table is the most likely but a lot depends on our start.

It's a lot more favourable than it was the last 2 seasons.Doubts about Claude aside it's about the most low key its been since 2013. Might suit us.

I think Bottom half but not in a relegation scrap if no more top signings are made. I think the team has enough quality to stay up. Not enough quality to challenge for Europe. I think Maddison will do well and Iheanacho will contribute more.

Posted

I've gone for 8th-12th. I think we'll finish top half though.

I think we need a big signing to replace Mahrez if we want Europa League.

Posted

10th. We'll change manager after a poor start, have the usual 8 game run of 16-17 points and we'll be mid-table for the remainder.

Given the way we were most of last season, the lack of any signings that will make much difference and the fact that Puel seems to live in a different world, I expect exactly same sort of position as the last two seasons and most fans to be happy with that :)

Is that really your view?

We'd all like a marquee signing but Pereira, Evans and Maddison have been signed to address particular areas of weakness.

I'd be majorly disappointed if they don't make quite a bit of a difference.

8th-12th but without Vardy I reckon we'd be in deep relegation trouble with this pedestrian, slow build-up play. We need to make sure we do the business against teams around us at home and under Puel that just hasn't happened enough.

Give the man a chance. He kept saying last season that there wasn't enough intensity in the play, it's not his choice to go that slow, it's just the players weren't yet ready to play that way at speed.

He's now had a close season to embed the tactics and bought in some of his own players. Even without Mahrez, we still have a spine of genuine stars that played at the World Cup - Schmeichel, Maguire, Ndidi, Vardy. On top of that, Pierra, Evans, and Maddison have joined, Silva won't have to spend 6 months not being allowed to play, and Diabete is acclimatising to the the Premier League.

If it turns out Puel knows what he's doing, we could fly up the league.

Mid table if Maguire stays a relegation scrap if he goes and we replace him with Gary Cahil.

Love Maguire as a player but we shipped 60 goals last year.  More than relegated Swansea and West Brom.  As good as he is on the ball, I think he is perceived as being a bit better than he actually is after the WC.

I don't want to lose him but if we got an astronomical fee it would be a chance to have another club's pants down for a change and potentially replace him with a better and more athletic defender.
