I think you are spot on! And the club as usual will learn when it’s too late and another season is wasted!

yea think that diabate has potential but to much to be putting on someone that young and inexperienced, hes not mbappe, he has talent, we need someone for that right hand side, also think we need another left back

https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/leicester-showing-interest-in-juventus-winger-pjaca-the-situation

Leicester have entered the race for Juventus and Croatia winger Marko Pjaca. Juventus have received interest from the Premier League club, who are looking for a young attacking player, similar to Malcom, who was an objective in the weeks prior. Juventus would sell Pjaca outright, and Leicester face competition within Italy for the player, Sampdoria and Fiorentina are also interested. Pjaca's intentions could ultimately decide his future, he would still need to be convinced of a move to Leicester.

Seems to be promising, but couldn't seem to get on the pitch for many of Croatia's games in the WC. I would much rather us go after Rebic, he looked class! I know he's being targeted by a few bigger clubs, but that may just be agent talk.

He’s a left winger not a right winger so can’t see how this helps us on the right hand side.

put albrighton back on the right side

Well it seems like youth is the way forward for Leicester. In which case signing a younger player for less money with the aim of coaching him to be as good as Perisic / Rebic is the goal and would make the signing make sense.

I'd personally prefer a more established signing, but it seems like the club's philosophy is to build a young team and develop them together over time.

I agree with everything you just said, I just feel the club would maybe be making the wrong decision.

We seem to constantly be signing these kinds of players with the attitude of "give them a year to bed in", but they often struggle; Kaputska, Kramo, Musa, Amartey and to a certain extent, even Gray are examples of it.

I just think that we have a lot of youngsters who don't get enough attention at the moment as it is, adding more youth, though possibly has merits in a year or 2, isn't going to give us the results we need if we are bottom half of the table at Christmas.

That is the same fear many of us have! Too much faith in young players leads to disappointing results, leads to Puel sacked before Christmas and then we are in a giant mess with the press saying "Leicester pay the price for not replacing Mahrez."

Replacing him with a big money signing would be ideal, but at the same time eventually you need to give players a chance. It seems like we did put a bid in for Malcom which may never have come off but at least shows some good intent. He'd have fit both young and proven categories.

He's not gonna come here if actually free of injuries.

The only chance we have is now whilst he's coming off the back of two disrupted years. Juventus want to sell him and it seems his stock has fallen, it's a gamble but the sort a club like us may have to take to acquire quality players. I'm getting desperate.

Meh. Not sure what to think of that kinda fee anymore, seems like it might be now considered cheap?

Pretty good for his skill

3 major injuries in 18 months doesn't make for good reading, we'll need him on the title winning PEDs; hopefully they're back in production.

I don't know a lot about him tbh. Researched him, he clearly has some talent. Juve paid £20m for him and want to sell for £15m. Hasn't set the World alight but had some major injuries, yet at 23 we could have a good player with plenty of potential.

Problem is we can't afford to take too much of a gamble. Hope it doesn't back fire if we go for him.

Juve are usually no mugs so they've seen something in him. Hopefully it is the injuries (and they're behind him) and having to re coup the Ronaldo money is why they are selling.

I think we need a striker more than anything, a winger/attacking midfielder would be good but we've got numbers in the position (even if the consistency isn't there all the time) whereas up front we've only really got Vardy we can rely on to be consistent all the time.
