It's a quandary. I can't help but feel for lad a bit. Tough to find any kind of rhythm when twiddling thumbs through no fault of his own for months and not having more than 4 Prem games in a row. 

He hasn't looked great when I've seen him. However I think it's fair argument to say we haven't seen an up to speed and firing on all cylinders Silva, and doubt we will in LCFC shirt. Wish him the best wherever he goes next.

 

*Aware this is a Ricardo thread, so for the record I think he's bloody mint

And to be fair, he was not really an hidden gem, he played in France and Portugal, the 5th and 6tth best leagues in the world, even in Champions League with Porto and is a Portuguese international who played the World Cup.

Yet no one took a chance on him? If it was that obvious and he was that good in the Portuguese and French league someone bigger than us would have signed him. 

 

I'm not saying he's a Kante or Mahrez - who came out of nowhere. But it's got to be up there for signings we have made and value for money wise in today's terms he is up there.

He doesn't look like a headless chicken any longer who doesn't know whether to attack or to defend and he doesn't get caught out of position any longer when playing in a back four.

 

Despite his rather fragile-looking physique he's quite physical, doesn't shy away from tackles, owns the right flank by now (up and down the side), can play on the left, as well. He's fast, skillful and team-oriented, with great stamina.

 

Revelation of the season so far. Need more players like him, maybe one or two this month in order to complement our attacking setup.

Having a look into Silva’s history would’ve revealed he was a different player to Drinkwater and not the pinger of balls over the top or through a defence. Vardy would probably not be having a party.

He also speaks very good English, doesn't he? I'm sure I've seen interviews of him and he seems to be able to communicate quite well.

Oh dear..... I wonder if Sporting Lisbon and Portugal think that. Numerous Champions league appearances, European Championship winner and captain of Lisbon.....

Im not saying he's been great but I don't think he's been rubbish. He's never had a sustained run in the side like Mendy or Ndidi has......

He's quality and for whatever reasons, we've not got the best out of him. To say he's pony is poor

The one premier league game he started this season (first game at Old Trafford), he played pretty well
