A lot of recent posts have been about getting things off our chests regarding the media.  We decry the huge skewing of coverage toward the “big six”.  Yet we also resent uninformed stories and rumors about our own Club.

Is it all bad that the media still have a use for Leicester City?  The fairy-tale and fallen-Icarus narratives are history.  But we remain on the map.  With inscrutable Asian owners who say nothing, but move the dial.  Sappers trying to undermine the sacred apple cart.  Assassins of the great and charming godfather.  Jailers of great footballers both chicken-legged and slab-headed.

Neil Ashton used his Saturday minute on NBC Sports to talk about Maguire, and Sunday's about Puel.  Given the actual, London-based soap opera of West Ham, it’s flattering that a Leicester soap opera needs manufactured.

Burnley are the ones in Europe.  Watford do chop managerial heads like celery.  But the world knows who we are and who our best players are.  We create stars and even mean to hang onto them.  We deal (or don’t) with the Manchester clubs and Chelsea.  Producing coverage, clicks -- and crap.

I do not mean to overstate this.  Even had we upset Man U, the pundits would have mono-blabbed about the Special One and Pogba.  But if we want to fix ourselves to the “best of the rest” tier, there is no room for tiny grey mice.  Higher profile equals more coverage, which equals more nosy, unflattering, even scurrilous coverage.

We can’t change the media.  So why not try to see both sides of the coin, if only to make it less frustrating.

Keep it up Neil.    You smarmy $#!t.

Who the fcuk is Neil Ashton?

Neil Ashton
Footballer
Neil John Ashton is an English semi-professional footballer who plays for Cefn Druids. He typically plays as left-back, but occasionally acts as a midfielder. Wikipedia
Born: 15 January 1985 (age 33 years), Liverpool
Height: 1.73 m
Weight: 78 kg

His spouse is his granny which is a little worrying. Is that specific to being born in Liverpool?
He possibly means Neil Ashton the sun journalist though.

If you go through our strongest starting eleven, how many wouldn’t be of interest to a club inside the top six. Not many PL clubs have this first eleven strength - we should be making noise amongst  the journos .......

I understood that, cant have been fuchsntf. Fair enough the old bastard has been abroad for years but how does your native language's word order becomes so messed up? I've been learning German for a while now but I still can't comprehend how it affects a language you've known for your whole life

My word order is excellent...I have just learnt how you can play around with English....

though you may be right...I get all the right words, but not necessary in the right order.....for those who find it difficult,to ride the wings of imagination.

I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse and worse

I will keep you, Susy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy.

sword and sward, retain and Britain.
(Mind the latter, how it’s written).

Made has not the sound of bade,
Say said, pay-paid, laid, but plaid.

Now I surely will not plague you
With such words as vague and ague,

But be careful how you speak,
Say break, steak, but bleak and streak.

Hiccough has the sound of “cup.”
My advice is–give it up!*

words are fragile individuals,

who's soul purpose is to create a sentence

Word order is a soulless attempt ,to deny

precious sentences, the right to anarchy

*****************          ********************

Anastrophe...is my excuse  to open wide the doors,

to be that single rebel without a cause......:englandsmile4wf:....:celebrate:

Whenever I think this forum can't get any stranger, someone proves me wrong... absolutely no idea what this thread is about but full marks for comedy value.
