Ndidi, Maddison, Chilwell, Iheanacho, Benkovic, Soyuncu, Choudhury, Gray and Barnes is comfortably 250/300m in kids younger than 22.

We've never had a pool of young players even remotely as good as that.

Exciting times

Out of curiosity, what do you rate the players value at ?

I was trying to to the math but fell short of the 250 or 300m

About 56m on the new 3 players

Grays value has surely dipped since Bournemouth where in for him maybe 20/25m

Chillwell 20m ?

Choudhury is not going to be a huge amount? 4 starts since flopping at Burton 5m?

Barnes 12m at a push just thinking of the goals Lawrence got in the championship and the fee he went for, younger but still a lot too prove.

Iheanacho 25m at a push wasn’t a huge number of clubs in at 25m and hasn’t really shone

Then Nddi

which is a tough two of the most expensive defensive midfielders fees in the world are Mattic and Xhaka 40m

Ndidi 60-65m maybe

These are not necessarily what I think the club would sell for but current values

Middlesbrough, that can’t be serious they had zero chance of getting him before he signed lol ? at least I got a good laugh today.

Maybe we should have gone in for Modric

We'd have much more chance of getting Modric than they would Wilf.

I'm talking about the price the club would sell for.

Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has revealed another major reason behind his decision to accept a new six-year contract with The Foxes, as he says everybody at the club loves him.

The former Racing Genk of Belgium star added that he has no qualms about committing his future to Leicester, since he has a sense of belonging and responsibility at Leicester, where he feels honoured and respected by the club’s top shots, players and fans.

After signing a new long term deal at King Power Stadium on Monday, Ndidi said the cordial atmosphere at Leicester City made his decision to pen an extension very easy.

The new deal extends Ndidi’s stay till 2024 and he says the big target for him is beyond personal records, as he wants the team to excel and qualifying for Europe is top priority.

He added that Leicester City has been amazing because the club has offered him the right atmosphere to develop and grow into one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Ndidi added: “I think because of my teammates, everyone is pushing and everyone is encouraging each other.

“I’m so happy and comfortable with everyone- the coaches, the players, the staff and the people working here. I’m very happy because everyone is friendly.

“As well as playing football, you can also learn a lifestyle outside of football. I’m happy I’m growing here and I’m really looking forward to the future.

“For me, I will say it’s not just me, it’s the players. A man cannot make a team; I think the team makes a player.

“The ultimate aim is to help City mount another European challenge in the near future but I always take things as they come and take it one step at a time.

“I don’t like thinking about what will happen in the future. I would say it starts now and I just want us to start winning games and progressing to get as many points as we can.

‘’There is nothing like growing, so learning from all those things will make me grow. I’ll just keep pushing and give everything and look forward to the games

“I feel welcome here because everyone is friendly. I’m in a place where people love me, encourage me and try to push me. I am so happy I’ve done this.

What a guy, also makes me very proud that our club can make a player feel that content and happy. So much for the toxic dressing room bollocks!

Sure knows the right things to say. He's a superb, level headed, talented young man. I'm really looking forward to watching his development over the next few years.

Lucky we got him to sign a new contract when we did!

Middlesbrough should have made a move for Leicester City’s Ndidi

Middlesbrough should have tried to land Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi before the Nigerian international signed a new six-year contract.

Tony Pulis’s hunt for a defensive midfielder continues, but the Boro boss only has 11 days to bring in new players on loan.

Everton’s Muhamed Besic has been heavily linked with the Championship club, but so far nothing concrete has developed.

At the weekend, Leicester’s official website confirmed that Ndidi has committed his future to the Foxes, but Boro should have been keeping a close eye on the midfielder.

A loan possibility is still viable, but it is hugely unlikely that the Premier League club would entertain an arrangement after offering Ndidi a new contract.

The 21-year-old, who is valued at £22.5m by Transfermarkt, goes under the radar for the most part in the top flight.

Ndidi’s performances do not always fill column inches, but he is an important part of Leicester’s team.

The former Genk player, who signed for the Foxes in January last year, is a rock in the middle of the park and keeps Leicester ticking.

Boro could do with a player that carries those attributes, and it would have been worth trying to strike a deal before Ndidi put pen to paper at Leicester.

A permanent transfer may not have been the most appealing for the player given that he would have to drop down a tier, but it would have been worth a conversation.

Matty James might be available.

I’m sure wilf would love to play for Tony pulls in the championship instead of being a first team premier league player. Someone must have been very high when making this story up ?

I genuinely believe we will reach a point with Wilf where the ‘big boys’ want him and he’ll have to make decisions on his future. Getting him a long term contract was an excellent thing to do.

After the lunacy of the post title winning era, I think we are back on a far more even keel.
