Spice of India, yes thats the name. You really need to use your powers of persuasion and get your wife to go back in there. Its changed a bit but not that much, the staff are lovely and very welcoming and they have some really nice specials on their menu.

10-15 years is a long time lol.

I'm happy enough with The Taraj tbh. The food's good and there's a decent atmosphere in there.

Not tried that place yet, but my son goes there often. I will have to give it a shot sometime.

Used to go to The Laguna on Narborough Road until it closed a couple of years ago.

Very good standard of food, albeit on the cheap side.

Have heard good things about Mem Saab.

Feast India on Melton Road is alright if you fancy buffet-style cuisine.

Is it still going, and has  it kept up its early years of excellent choice and quality...

Some people I know around the shire, all have various opinions on its faire, from good mixed choices,to quality goes up and down,or

It's got boring.....???

4hrs ago when in Leicester,I went with my wife and daughter to Lahore Village, we had a great meal, and the young staff then were excellent.

now I hear,  unfortunately it's food and service went downhill, and eventually closed permanently.

Some Indian restaurants, take off and stay with us for years, others small and cosy,or new generation just wither away.

my visits to my city, usually included feast of India...Spice of India.....Then we found. One in wigston/lady that use to be a pub,

I think it was called The Taj, or Cuisine of India ,went to it ,on a few Sunday lunches...buffet or Card, then it was excellent,I hope it's still in

Business....The boss told me of his ideas, hope he realised his dreams...I

I miss good  and the choice of Indian/pakistan I restaurants. In my Area in Germany there just too few,or a 30km+ drive.

in Leicester on a good evening, you could walk Melton road, and some side streets, and come across a great choice, now I would have

no idea......

Giving it a whirl tonight, instead of the Spice of India. I will report back accordingly :D

Pretty much my first thought when I saw the thread title was "urban spaceman will have made a prince of punjab joke."

Funny as ****ing cancer. Honestly, @Webbohas a better sense of humour.

Ngl, I've always been this miserable. You were just blinded by lust.

When you're really in to someone, you see through their obvious flaws.

It's all faded as I've gotten older and you've been prowling around looking for younger models that still look like Harry Potter.

Most locals here rave about Sameeha in Glenfield while everyone from not around here goes to Shahs/Sands.

No alcohol license either so you can take your own booze in.

The Bengal in Barrow is top.

Marten inn is amazing, not been Clowes but hear you have to book as it’s really good. Woolpack is really really nice too.
