I assume he refused to pick dragovic as he wouldn’t commit to us for this season, but that’s exactly the same with wes. Wes won’t get a new contract and therefor won’t be a lcfc player come next season. Shambles.

Soyuncu not fit.

Benkovic bedding in.

Evans didn't play well last week,

Perhaps Puel is just calling it as he sees it picking the current best two CB's at the club? I have little doubt Morgan will be eased out when all our other CB's are fully fit.

Based on what? Reputation or performances?

Some of the comments are complete garbage Wes played well at United and Evans was poor last week - how we kept a clean sheet last week was pure luck....

Agree with Amartey being a risk if it’s 4-4-2 but otherwise it’s a good team but the players need to perform. I am not a particular fan of Puel but last week Evans and Albrighton looked off it so he changes it rightly yet gets vilified ....players need to perform and personally happy if he drops them as long as he is consistent with treating them all the same.

Amartey and Wes shouldn’t be playing, expect Southampton to target them both.

Why was he signed? I assumed he was signed as a first choice to add expifemce next to our young back 4. Waste of money if he’s not getting ahead of Wes. What’s they point?

Are you aware a player contract is longer than 2 games ?

Morgan was very poor last season yet kept his place. Very poor management from puel.

Looks very uninspiring. Surely we should be moving forward without Morgan, not bringing him back in after a clean sheet. Bizzare.

Yes, but why isn’t he giving our best 4 a chance again to create cohesion and consistency. Poor.

Wes Morgan's not played well for the majority of the past year yet still keeps getting picked.

I hope you are correct.

Is evans going to play the next game when Morgan inevitably has a bad match?

Need some consistency with the defence. Evans ended up finishing the game strongly and despite all the pressure we kept a clean sheet.

Luckily for us Mark Hughes isn’t that smart

Because I'm not sure at the moment Evans is better than Morgan.
And it's about 11 players so, I'm not sure either that Ricardo+Albrighton is better than Amartey+Ricardo

Why did Evans start vs wolves then?

Maybe he was signed partly because it was such a bargain. Might be able to sell him on for a giant profit.

The best way to know what your best 11 is is to try different things.

Love it. Dominated Utd with this lineup and Morgan being back isn’t an issue, even for me. The new lads aren’t ready and Evans isn’t fit as far as I’m concerned for 90 minutes.

Because you have to try different things to know which one is the best

As a 5321 this works. Formation is everything. As a 4411 I’m not as pleased. Formation makes a big difference here. Hope they can be flexible

5321? Yeah that should work. We stand a much better chance with 12 men. Perfect formation I wonder why CP has not tried this before?

Morgan Literally gave Lukaku a goal vs United, got very lucky he didn’t punish. Bet mark Hughes is rubbing his hands together as we speak.

Well Lukaku didn’t score, so not literally.

Did Evans not ask whether he’ll be first choice or not when he signed? lol

He was pretty rubbish last week, and doesn’t look up to speed.

Don't understand bringing Amartey and Morgan back in at all.

Puel's inconsistent lineups each week is quite worrying.

Cos Evans was not very good last week.

So not literally, cos they didn’t score!

Same team as Old Trafford except Mendy in for Silva, happy with that. Evans looked poor last week and Ricardo looked great further up the pitch.

Lets see what we can do when the opponent doesn't get a penalty within 30 seconds.

Yet some screaming fannies will have you believe Morgan is picking the team.

I'm sure Morgan knows his days are numbered, he is 35 after all. It's his last season here and he's smoothing over the transition for one of the new lads to take his place.
