SouthStandUpperTier Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Back 4 does look a bit ropey, but I'm cautiously optimistic with Ndidi and Mendy shielding.
OhYesNdidi Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Did Evans not ask whether he’ll be first choice or not when he signed?
ronnup Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 As a 5321 this works. Formation is everything. As a 4411 I’m not as pleased. Formation makes a big difference here. Hope they can be flexible
Haywood_6 Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 (edited) Don't understand bringing Amartey and Morgan back in at all. Puel's inconsistent lineups each week is quite worrying. Edited 25 August 2018 by Haywood_6
HitchinFox Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 If the plan is to play a certain way when away from home, and in another way when playing at home, then this selection makes perfect sense. Let's hope it comes off. Have a funny feeling Iheanacho will enjoy playing against a central defence of Hoedt and Vestergaard. 1
djskydiver Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 So Morgan is in the starting 11, Albrighton is on the bench and John Moss is the ref. What could possibly go wrong
Harry96 Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Should be interesting would’ve rather seen alrbighton or ghezzal on the wing than pereira there.
Buzzell Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Morgan to score a last minute header from a Maddison corner to win the game.

But Morgan won’t be a lcfc player next season. Player power back in full force. No this BS again. There are no arguments for the selection of Wes Morgan anymore, Puel has to be question either way on this. He has to be questioned for the continued selection, if it due to player power he needs to be question over why he hasn't got any bollocks to stand up to the player power. As for everyone claimed it was the end for Wes Morgan (And I have no pleasure in saying this) but I told you so, This man will keep getting picked.

Bet mark Hughes is rubbing his hands together as we speak. Evans literally gave the wolves forward a goal, got lucky Chilwell bailed him out.
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Iborra really out of favour it seems. Shame he's a decent player and a goal threat.
Gerard Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Puel calling it as he sees it by bringing in Morgan for Evans so fair play to him. Whilst I'm not overly happy on it looking so defensive with Pereira as attacking midfielder and Amartey as right back and Mendy instead of Silva if that is indeed the formation of 4-2-3-1.

I assume he refused to pick dragovic as he wouldn’t commit to us for this season, but that’s exactly the same with wes. Wes won’t get a new contract and therefor won’t be a lcfc player come next season. Shambles.
SpacedX Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 4 minutes ago, Spudulike said: Why ?? Is that a reference to Wes back in ?? If so, did you see Evans last week ?? Yeah - looked like an experienced player returning from injury settling in at a new club with unfamiliar partnerships who is more comfortable on the right of central defence. All things considered, looked much better in the second half.

Some of the comments are complete garbage Wes played well at United and Evans was poor last week - how we kept a clean sheet last week was pure luck.... Agree with Amartey being a risk if it’s 4-4-2 but otherwise it’s a good team but the players need to perform. I am not a particular fan of Puel but last week Evans and Albrighton looked off it so he changes it rightly yet gets vilified ....players need to perform and personally happy if he drops them as long as he is consistent with treating them all the same.
Will1981 Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Ricardo Pereira : 7.62 (7.619) Nampalys Mendy : 7.62 (7.618) James Maddison : 7.30 Ben Chilwell : 7.27 Wilfred Ndidi : 7.07 Kasper Schmeichel : 6.82 Demarai Gray : 6.55 Harry Maguire : 6.32 Marc Albrighton : 6.13 - Dropped (SUB) Daniel Amartey : 5.83 (SUB) Kelechi Iheanacho : 5.60 (SUB) Adrien Silva : 5.42 Jonny Evans : 5.05 - Dropped Jamie Vardy : 4.58 - Dropped (Suspended) Wolves Match Ratings. After the Man U game Puel dropped the 4 worst voted starting players and after the Wolves game he drops the 3 worst starting players.

I assumed he was signed as a first choice to add expifemce next to our young back 4. Waste of money if he’s not getting ahead of Wes. What’s they point?
chapero82 Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 We may as well use Simpson as RB still Amartey has never been good there
m4DD0gg Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Evans dropped after one game? Harsh. Amartay starting is the equivalent to being 1-0 down at kick off.
