davieG Posted 8 September 2018 Posted 8 September 2018 Gerry Taggart the pundit for the NI game and Evans starts.

spacemunky Posted 8 September 2018 Posted 8 September 2018 There's zero TV coverage of this over here so far. The friendlies, on the other hand, are usually televised.
southfox66 Posted 8 September 2018 Posted 8 September 2018 After finally figuring out what it was all about, the national league seems pretty pointless to me, it's a second rate contest that won't mean alot even if you win it, the euro 2020 will be one we want to win and you'd hope England would qualify in the normal way by winning the group stage of euro qualification stage starting 2019.

Not sure you understand it still.

It would never replace the Euros in terms of priorities, I think the point of it is to have less pointless friendly matches and more games of a semi competitive nature which cant be a bad thing. So far so good.
davieG Posted 8 September 2018 Posted 8 September 2018 NI seemingly can't score no matter how many attempts they make and definitely can't defend.
MC Prussian Posted 8 September 2018 Posted 8 September 2018 6-0. Didn't see that one coming. Even Shaqiri and Seferovic scored again. A miracle. Hopeful for Tuesday's match, but essentially primarily looking forward to an entertaining game at the King Power Stadium.
Stadt Posted 9 September 2018 Posted 9 September 2018 It’s definitely an improvement on just friendlies, it won’t ever be seen as a huge deal but it wasn’t intended to be.
spacemunky Posted 9 September 2018 Posted 9 September 2018 Denmark with the top dogs back in. Didn't realize Ampadu was Welsh.

Countryfox Posted 9 September 2018 Posted 9 September 2018 Did they say Kasper landed awkwardly in the warm up and went straight back to the dressing room, coming back out just before the start ... hope it’s nothing.
Jimothy Posted 9 September 2018 Posted 9 September 2018 How were the group's decided for this Nations League? Denmark, who qualified for the world cup and progressed through the group moving up to 9th in the rankings are in group b with the likes of Wales, whilst the Netherlands, who didn't qualify at all and are 19th in the rankings are in group a, with France, Germany, Spain, England, Croatia, etc.
ScouseFox Posted 10 September 2018 Posted 10 September 2018 not sure if anyone’s just seen that naismith miss but cor, scotland are well funny
Izzy Posted 10 September 2018 Posted 10 September 2018 Only 17,000 at Hampden for Scotlands Nations League game tonight. That's pretty shocking really...
Guest MattP Posted 11 September 2018 Posted 11 September 2018 Didn't realise one team even from the lowest league qualified for Euro 2020. Bit of a joke.

Bit of a joke. yeah i think if i’m understanding it right it’s gonna end up with some superb “match fixing” in some of the later group games this time round i reckon. teams who are getting done in in their current pots will surely be wanting to get relegated to the pots below to massively improve their chances of qualifying for the next major tournament. effectively the worse you are, the easier your chances of getting to the play offs. solid system.
