I do like Brighton away but think I may have to miss it this season. Our away games up to Christmas are poor in terms of who we're playing and the time of the year.

If the London to Brighton/Lewes main lines are closed that weekend, I think the trains will detour via Littlehampton.

It will add about an hour to the journey. but it's my understanding that there will be trains ... albeit ones that give you a tour of West Sussex into the bargain!

(I obviously accept no responsibility for the accuracy of what I've just said, above.)

Travel plans might go down to the wire here.

Network Rail normally confirms changes 12 weeks in advance.   This has been reduced to 6 weeks on occasions.    But for the weekend in question (Sat 24th Nov 2018), it could be less than 2 weeks!

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/184755.aspx
The information for Thameslink, Gatwick Express and Southern says:
"At present we cannot confirm whether these services are correct. We expect correct information to be available from Tuesday 13 November."

Advance planning?   Who needs that?

Is there anyone who can get me 3 tickets for this? Living in brighton but normally can't get access to away tickets.

This will make general sale like all other away games (bar Bournemouth). You'll be fine getting 3 together

There is no pattern to these in my experience. I’ve had them next day, and a couple of weeks later sometimes, when others have ordered later and already got theirs.

Once they didn’t arrive at all, but then you have to ring the day before a game and they have duplicates waiting at the away ground.

Not a great feeling travelling without tickets, but there were no issues.

Completely forgot I was in London that day so could have gone but booked a train back already and had to pay to have it changed once already lol :(

Part of the reason is the works down between 3 bridges and Brighton. Just faffy getting a replacement bus.
