Are we going to hold ourselves to this?

When you are celebrating an “impossible” success that made our wildest dreams come true,

We’ve got your back.

When you are forced to grieve publicly at the loss of a an irreplaceable father, a truly great and generous man we also treasured,

We’ve got your back.

If the thought occurs that the LCFC colors are overshadowed by the King Power brand that financed their rescue,

We’ve got your back.

When you have to make a brutally difficult decision about a manager, or an idolized player, that ties this forum in knots,

We’ve got your back.

When the end of your airport monopoly threatens the foundation of your family fortune, and places you under stress we cannot imagine,

We’ve got your back.

If you are ever forced to choose between the needs of our Club and those of your family and 7,000 King Power employees,

We’ve got your back.

I hope we hold ourselves to this.  We owe this young man no less, and who among us would wish to be in his shoes?

It must help the family when they see thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people around the World genuinely in grief and feeling the loss of this wonderful man.

LCFC has had its heart broken, but we will stand together behind Top, his brother, and his family, to deliver the next dream.

Does backing Top = Backing the Manager?

Will the Match Thread when the team is announced have a different tone?

Will people be able to provide a critique without all the expletives and aggression?

I hope so ,this immense tragedy has changed us all. This forum was becoming at times more of a civil war.  I certainly hope this new found decency carries forward, i include myself in that.we are all foxes for ever.

By not backing the Manager we are effectively not trusting the Board.  So I hope this can change to a certain extent.  But difficult.  On team selection that is going to be a tough one, but let's face it this is a football given that line-ups and formations are debated.

In the last few days, I cannot help thinking about the way the stadium emptied after the last home game last May, leaving this Family doing a lap of the Stadium with just a few there staying behind to show their appreciation.  It is times likes these, good and bad, that we can show our support going forward.

Nothing wrong with debating it's just the extreme negative statements without any meaningful content with a lot including aggressive and colourful language vilifying players.

I just find I don't want to even look any further than the team sheet.

I'd be surprised if there's much frustration or criticism of any of our players and management for a few games at least, there's simply no point. We are all battling a huge loss and we have to stick together.

I fear that some of the more childish amongst our fans might not have such insight...

Nothing would make me happier than seeing Top continue his Dad's work, with both Leicester City and King Power as a whole, and making a huge fvcking success of it all!

I’m not trying to be a boblet, but Don’t you think King power is preparing for this eventuality? Kuhn Vichai doesn’t strike me as the sort of person who would have been caught unaware by this possibility... I’m sure there are plans afoot, if they haven’t already to invest into other sectors.. they already hve a few hotels too, amongst other things..

I would definitely say that the next few games is not the time to be having a pop at the manager.

If he can’t motivate the players after the next few games that might be a problem though..

Besides, Big Nige paid a visit yesterday, so they’ll be fine

For all those who can be at the ground for the upcoming match, please sing your hearts out to ensure Top knows that the arms of a city are around him right now.

Also I have no idea if anyone here is from Melbourne Australia. But if you are and you want a friend to watch the games with/drink with/discuss all things Leicester/celebrate the absolute beauty of Vichai's legacy with please please don't hesitate to get in touch via pm.

And I don't really know if there is anything I can do, but if there is anything at all in the form of overseas tribute to Vichai that can be done I would love nothing more than to help.

I think a period of total solidarity is what's called for at the moment. The Puel in or out arguments were getting a bit too depressing and vitreolic anyway to be honest. Our management team have shown that they are not afraid to do something when they feel that the time is right and we of course aren't fully aware of what the agenda was that they set for the manager. In any case, we're in a decent enough position with lots of things to be optimistic about compared with many around us.

Team selection likewise. We never fully know why some players are picked or left out. This Saturday of course has a different imponderable. Notwithstanding Armarty's injury, it is who Puel thinks is best equipped to deal with a particularly unusual set of circumstances that is also an issue and hes best placed to evaluate their emotions. Personally I don't care who he picks this week, whoever it is deserves our full support and if over the next couple of weeks some absolute individual howlers are made then I don't think the player involved deserves castigating on here. Difficult times require exactly what it says on the label 'support'.

I'm vowing to be a bit more supportive of all facets of this club from now on as it's often a mind set as to the perceived problems, will a bit more level headed attitude make any difference? Probably just make it more pleasant to be a fan and not be a miserable twat. I know this is easy to say right now but I'm aiming to stand by my word on this. I'm sure I'll still make some offensive remarks but I'll always support our team, something I cant say I've always acted like I do in the past.

Go get em Top.

Myself also, Ric.  Never too old to get a bit wiser.

Go get em Top.

What’s a boblet?!  A bobcat kitten?  That gave me my first FT smile in a week … the thought of a little kids’ team running around with “Boblets” on their shirts.

Your point is well taken, and none of us wants to speculate at this time.  I was just trying to point out the pressures and eventualities Top will have to face.  Which we will also have to put into perspective as supporters of the family as well as the club.
