FoyleFox Posted 8 November 2018 Posted 8 November 2018 It's certainly going to be an emotional day. The club and all associated really truly have been magnificent. Dignified, caring for everyone and compassionate to all. A true reflection of Vichai.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 November 2018 Posted 8 November 2018 It will be a fuel-charged emotional afternoon. I only wish I could be there in person, and not just in spirit. Do him proud lads.
stripeyfox Posted 8 November 2018 Posted 8 November 2018 This Burnley fan gets it... some things are significantly more important than football. They already cancelled The Southampton game. So as above, it will only move to the next one. Many of Leicesters fans will have become Leicester fans because of or during his time there. All Leicester fans of any age will have had their best time as fans ever. They should be able to remember him however they see fit. In the fullness of time, the match and the significance of the match (from a points perspective) will have passed on. But what he did and how he will be remembered will be there forever. In a weird way we are blessed to be able to be part of the remembrance. A remarkable story, a tragic ending culminating with a match on remembrance day against the team who got promoted with them when they went up. It will probably become a film. Hopefully our club and fans play a dignified part.

But certainly fair play to the club for arranging for after a such an unexpected event and trying to keep things intact. Not sure how many will be physically able to hold their scarfs aloft for the full two minutes.

Chrysalis Posted 9 November 2018 Posted 9 November 2018 Sadly I got no reply from the club when asking as a non attending supporter to get something memorable to remember him by so these are going to remain exclusive to match attending fans only.

Was there not a special edition of the Leicester Mercury or something ?
Bert Posted 9 November 2018 Posted 9 November 2018 There’s going to be some sort of big announcement tomorrow too.

davieG Posted 9 November 2018 Author Posted 9 November 2018 From the Merc The family of late Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha will attend this weekend’s fixture against Burnley, the first at the King Power Stadium since the devastating helicopter crash. Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, City vice-chairman and Khun Vichai’s son, better known as ‘Top’, will be present, flying to the UK following the conclusion of his father’s seven-day funeral in Bangkok on Friday. At the King Power Stadium, the family will witness several tributes to Khun Vichai, including a video, a commemorative banner and a minute’s silence, with the club also set to announce plans for a permanent memorial.
StanSP Posted 9 November 2018 Posted 9 November 2018 I feel like tomorrow's atmosphere, after the tributes leading up to the kick off, will be louder than ever. Louder than the Champions League matches. Louder than when we were winning the league. Purely because everyone in unison will want to urge the players on to do their best for Vichai and get the win for him. Gonna be emotionally charged throughout.

Sounds like it's going to be a massive announcement so they're probably going to swap the Kop and the Family Stand. Nothing would be bigger than that...

davieG Posted 9 November 2018 Author Posted 9 November 2018 Former Leicester managers Claudio Ranieri, Nigel Pearson and Craig Shakespeare to be in attendance at Burnley game as club pays tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha
Phube Posted 9 November 2018 Posted 9 November 2018 The Birch was on the Boot Room last night and said there will be some special guests post match; maybe Claudio (as mentioned above) and other returning players/managers who worked under Vichai? Man City and Chelsea are playing on Sunday so maybe Mahrez/Kante/Drinky?
