Verstappen Vettel Kvyat Stroll Sainz Albon 7 DNF’s Looking at that top 6.....guaranteed to be an eventful race. That is what F1 should be like every time.
iamafox Posted 28 July 2019 Posted 28 July 2019 I really wanted Hulk to get his first podium - he's had a shit ton of bad luck in his career
The Bear Posted 28 July 2019 Posted 28 July 2019 Agreed. With a bit more luck he could have been at a top team.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 28 July 2019 Posted 28 July 2019 Luck can only be blamed so much when it's been 9 years now

Brainy Posted 29 July 2019 Posted 29 July 2019 Also interesting to see the end of driver penalties for unsafe releases.. never seen the team fine penalty before. Was this a mid-race rule change or have I missed something?
VinceNoir Posted 30 July 2019 Posted 30 July 2019 Off to Hungaroring this weekend. Anyone ever been? First time watching a GP live so I’m well looking forward to it although it’ll be tough to beat the last three for entertainment!

Budapest my favourite city in the world.

We just have general admission tickets so hoping to watch from different parts of the circuit over the course of the three days. Looking forward to check out Budapest as well. Been twice but never as an adult.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Max gets his first pole of his career, is it time to take him seriously as a title challenger? It's been by far the best driver this season

It's been by far the best driver this season Seems to have shaken off the immaturity/recklessness side to his driving and it's paying dividends. His battle with Hamilton will be great to watch hopefully for the rest of the season and beyond. Today's qualifying was decent.
Jimothy Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Hope Verstappen can get a decent start, last couple of races hes gone backwards.
LinekersLugs Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Have a hard on watching this chase by Lewis ! What a driver he is
Uranyl Yellow Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Despite the claims that Verstappen has improved in terms of maturity, I was somewhat expecting something disastrous to happen in trying to overtake him. Still, kudos to Honda in getting their engine working in the Red Bull so quickly (even with their experience with Torro Rosso). I wasn't expecting them to be anywhere this season.
StanSP Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Shame Max couldn't hold on to the win but it was a bold and brave call from Mercedes to pit Hamilton and it paid off. Decent race by Sainz & Albon to finish 5th and 10th respectively as well.
Brainy Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Only way Red Bull can be blamed for that is if they expected Verstappen's tyres to fall off the cliff at the end. He spent a lot of his 2nd stint pushing. Red Bull would have done the same as Mercedes, they often have done for lower positions.

It was the smart choice, knowing how face Hamilton is on fresh tyres, he had second wrapped up anyway, pitting and telling him to go after Verstappen was only going to end one way.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Another good race, France was dreadful but the 4 since have been great. I do wonder how good the RB is. Gasly has been poor so it's hard to know how much more Max is getting out of it than he should be or is Gasly really that bad?
isaidno Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Red Bull promoted the wrong junior driver. Should have given Sainz the drive.

VinceNoir Posted 12 August 2019 Posted 12 August 2019 Albon and Gasly switch seats. Harsh on Kvyat really!
Brainy Posted 12 August 2019 Posted 12 August 2019 2 very demoralised drivers at Toro Rosso right now
