Trav Le Bleu Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 Two great sporting events today where the winner was constantly in flux. But not in F1. They should rename F1 as Follow The Mercedes.

Guest Kopfkino Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 Vettel should retire at the end of the year, looks done
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 Vettel will never be considered one of the greats. Treated to an upgraded Red Bull and various other perks when he raced his team mate for 4 years running and has failed, spectacularly, to mount any challenge when up against it at Ferrari. Now he's being shown up by the youngsters. Mentally, he is done. Signs were there last season, he's lost it.
Nick Posted 17 July 2019 Posted 17 July 2019 Now this is a really good read about F1 development: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/49009359
The Horse's Mouth Posted 19 July 2019 Posted 19 July 2019 Anyone seen Vettel's eulogy for Charlie? It's actually very touching
Jimothy Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Good day for both Vettel and Hamilton. EDIT: Hamilton found some pace.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 What a massive cock up of a season , Redbull at least look like they could be a good outfit next year
Super_horns Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Wouldn't surprise me if Vettel left after the end of this season..
KrefelderFox666 Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 45 minutes ago, Super_horns said: Wouldn't surprise me if Vettel left after the end of this season.. He's been extremely unlucky and a lot of his mistakes have come due to putting pressure on himself. He should relax a bit more. Hamilton hasn't known what a challenge is for years. I really hope for the sport that Mercedes lose their dominance next season and we have a handful of teams scrapping.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Actually feel bad for him, feel hes just been the scapegoat since Canada, rather than Ferrari taking the full brunt. Too much of people saying LeClerc has been miles better when they've basically been on the same level. I think he'll stay regardless though and probably wait for 2021 before he makes a proper decision, it's clear he wants to add that one title with Ferrari to follow in Schumi's footsteps.
iamafox Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Vettel can't handle the pressure of emulating Schumi, reliability issues or not
Jimothy Posted 28 July 2019 Posted 28 July 2019 9 hours ago, iamafox said: Vettel can't handle the pressure of emulating Schumi, reliability issues or not He can't handle any kind of pressure. People complain about this era of mercedes and Hamilton dominance, but the 4 years on the spin that Vettel was world champ, him and Red Bull were totally dominant, and his team mate barely challenged him. Now he hasn't got that dominant car under him his races are full if mistakes. It's not just the Schumacher pressure, it's as soon as he's in a car that's not flying off into the distance and he might actually have to compete for wins he goes to pot.
Ian W LCFC Posted 28 July 2019 Posted 28 July 2019 Looks like its gonna be a wet race, touch wood. Verstappen and Hamilton will probably just drive away from the rest of the field until a safety car comes out to bunch them back up, should be really interesting with Vettel and Leclerc coming through though.
