Just goes to show.....dreams can come true

I was about 16 and was kipping at a mates house with him and another lad. His parents were away and we were all drunk and passed out on the chairs and sofa in the living room. About 3am I hear a noise and the other lad is sleep walking around the living room. He opens the door to the kitchen and just takes a piss all over the kitchen floor. Sleep walks back into the living room and crashes back out on the sofa He denied all knowledge in the morning but the evidence was plain to see. I wish we had camera phones back then...
VLC86 Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 Some of my favourite sleep walking stories/dreaming stories... I once dreamt someone had broke into my house and was climbing on my bed trying to strangle me. I half woke up then thinking they had set a dog on me before realising it was my actual dog climbing on me poor thing. Edit- I genuinely barely slept for 3 nights after this it ****ed me up that much. In the same house I woke up trying to climb in my wardrobe. **** knows what would have happened had I been able to fit but I woke up because I was banging my head against the clothes in there. And my absolute favourite. I was about 13/14 and had the flu so I was in bed watching Derren Brown when I fell sleep. A while later I get out of bed, wake my sister up trying to persuade her that I was going to show her a coin trick. She comes into my room and now I’m properly ****ed because I can’t find a coin and I’m waking up there in a right situation ran to the bog and puked my guts up. Give me a heads up if anyone wants a sleep over.

Nearly done that in my mum and dads room as a kid. They managed to wake me up before I started

Guest Col city fan Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 I had a dream once I was eating a giant marshmallow! When I woke up, my pillow had gone! I’ll get my coat....

Finnegan Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 I used to sleep walk a bit as a kid when feverish. Whenever I have a higher than normal temperature I have batshit crazy dreams. As a kid if I was ill they'd either manifest in crazy night terrors thrashing around in bed screaming or really surreal, lucid sleep walking sessions. Like I once knocked on my sister's bedroom door, handed her an imaginary coin, told her it was for the vending machine, stood there waiting patiently until she went away and came back pretending to hand me something and then I went back to bed. Absolutely no memory of it myself, even the next day but a story I'm often reminded of.

Although the most bizarre thing about most of mine is that I do remember them or at least parts. Havent done it for a long time though luckily.
bovril Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 I have sleep walked once, at Uni. Went into my flatmates room (stark bollock naked) and started dismantling his wardrobe.
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 Never really sleep walked but had to share a room with my sister for a few days when some family were staying over when I was about 7. She woke me up every night sleep talking. The best was a full on weather forecast which included telling me "temperatures will be pushing 30 degrees later in the week but with gale force winds so don't go heading for the beach just yet".

I had a recurring dream (occassionally still do) where my teeth would fall out and mouth would be full of blood. Apparently teeth falling out can mean two things - 1) worried about finances or 2) worried about appearance as teeth/smile are one of the first things someone sees when someone looks at you. Probably many other things it could mean but they're the main ones. Another thing that amazes me is lucid dreaming. You can teach yourself to do it apparently and I was sure I could do it but never been 100%. It's like realising you're in your dream state and in an active dream, therefore being able to control the 'destiny', so to speak, of what happens in your dreams. Quite a cool concept when you think about it considering the dream state of sleep happens in the REM stage and that lasts a matter of seconds in the whole sleep cycle. yeah teeth falling out and being naked in public are quite common.

Unabomber Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 Doesn’t happen so much anymore but I used to have such vivid dreams about work that I genuinely wouldn’t know I had done some things or if I had just dreamt them. Nothing exiting either was literally just working all night in my dream then would get up and go to work.

Benguin Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 Dreams put you in situations where there is a fight or flight moment. I see them as ways of preparing you for challenges in life. if you want really good dreams that happen every night and are very vivid. Pretend you smoke and get a prescription from your doctor for champix. Next level dreams on that drug.
