I see them as ways of preparing you for challenges in life. if you want really good dreams that happen every night and are very vivid. Pretend you smoke and get a prescription from your doctor for champix. Next level dreams on that drug. Nice one, might give that a whirl. Sometimes I take a double dose of Codeine before bed my mistake and have some proper weird dreams on that. More scary than really good though tbh

Problem was I regularly took extra doses “by mistake” so can’t be trusted with it!
Tuna Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 I had a dream the other day that I was one half of a TV detective duo, the other being Yohan Benalouane. Make of that what you will.
CollinsLCFC Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 Pretty much every single night I dream either that I'm late for either a plane or train journey or that I'm on holiday. Been like this for about a year. One thing I have once experienced is sleep paralysis. Now that's scary.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 6 March 2019 Posted 6 March 2019 There was a period a couple of years ago when I'd micro dose lsd just before bed (have to get to sleep quickly), and some of the dreams were sensational, not that weird but rather vivid and certainly had huge meaning to me. I don't subscribe to the Freudian thought but I think there's meaning in how your brain processes and interprets dreams, you just have to get there yourself.

I have all kinds of vivid dreams. Had some sex dreams about women ive wanted to shag over the years and lets just say i shagged them senseless in my dreams lol. Since ive had kids my dreams are random and sex has left my dreams too lol. I dont really read too much into dreams but i definitely have the same dreams over again many times which is odd. So many times i wake up and think ive dreamt the same thing before.
Stadt Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Read about sleep paralysis on here once and I was terrified of it for about 6 months

My mum gets sleep paralysis which is probably where my sleep walking came from and I don’t fancy getting that in a hurry. From memory I can’t rememeber the name of it but there is a film about it that’s pretty horrible.
ozleicester Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Vision/sight is 90% created in the brain, the eyes submit information and the brain takes that information, reconciles it with existing information and creates what you see. Dreams are the brain creating vision without the stimulus from the eyes. Effectively the vision part of the brain is awake and working, your eyes are closed, so it makes up its own story from you past experience..

I've had the 'falling' dream many times and always woke up before hitting the ground, just as you've described. Then a few months ago I was falling in my dream and I figured I'd test the theory out. I recognised I was falling (off the top of a Hotel I'd visited that day as it happened) and told myself to not wake up, make sure I hit the bottom and then see what happened. So I fell all the way down and the moment I hit he ground everything went black and then a bright white. I thought "fvckin yes! I'm dead and on my way to heaven!" Then the alarm clock went off and woke me up so that theory is a load of old bullux. 8 hours ago, Free Falling Foxes said: The other night I dreamt of a lad who was in my class in primary school 50 odd years ago. We weren't even mates & I have never seen him since. Weird. Free Falling Foxes posts directly after your story, lzzy! That's one of those little weird things that happens in life!
Collymore Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 I've just woke up dreaming that I was on a bike at the bottom of a hill and I couldn't peddle up it, so frustrating.
StanSP Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Had a weird dream last night. Was persuaded by some friends to sign up to a gym and I end up going with them. I start doing some workout and I turn around, they're in some kind of creche area with mums and their babies Either it's a sign I'm piling on the pounds and need to do something about it or I need to get some new friends that won't look so creepy... 2 hours ago, Collymore said: I've just woke up dreaming that I was on a bike at the bottom of a hill and I couldn't peddle up it, so frustrating. I've had similar to that before - climbing up the stairs but losing sight of them and then not being able to climb further and not reaching the top.
Rob1742 Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Some dreams defiantly relate to things going on in real life. I remember when I set up my own business, and once it was established and I felt free from anyone controlling me I had reoccurring dreams of being able to fly. It was just about a couple feet of the ground, but it was an amazing feeling and felt real. I read about it and it says this dream can occur if you feel free from something. It carried on for around 6 months and it was at a pivotal point in my career when I really did feel free from any worry. Also if ever I am ill, as in really really ill, fever time situation I have the same dream. So it has maybe only happened about 10 times, but it’s always when I am really ill with like Measles etc. I don’t know what it means, it’s fields and stuff that is hard to explain, but it’s always the same and just hits me when I don’t expect it. I often analyse a dream dream afterwards and you can see that it relates to something that is going on in your life.
stix Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 I often am dreaming but fully aware of my surroundings, I.e I know I’m in bed and I know I’m dreaming, but I am unable to wake myself up or move easily. it can be quite unnerving sometimes as when this happens I’m usually dreaming about something pretty shitty. Like someone is chasing me or trying to kill me. The only way I can ever wake myself up is by making my body jolt, as if to snap me out of it. Always wake up out of breath as well. Doesnt happen every night but it’s a weekly thing for sure. Weirdo

foxy boxing Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Does anyone get dreams where your dreaming of something and then days or months later something happens or someone says something to you that is exactly like what you dreamed!. it's a bit like deja vu. I am not saying I'm a psychic or a seer or anything. it just seems to happen a lot and wonder if anyone else experiences this!

How do you reconcile that theory when I've never met Donald Trump let alone had a Chinese with him?

Weirdo I get dreams where I kind of know it's a dream but the thing I'm dreaming about is also pretty unpleasant or that I'm going to be in trouble for. Even during the dream I'm reassuring myself that it's a dream but never quite being convinced of that. I also occasionally have a recurring theme in some dreams where I have a sniper rifle and I'm at a height above a street and I'm picking off people below, mostly women for some reason. The only way the rifle will fire is by me making a "phoofff" kind of noise and the trigger is always almost impossible to pull and I have to use several fingers to do it.

AyewJoking Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Tend to have similar dreams with the same theme. Most of these are about work so obviously linked with real life.

Lcfc-1992 Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 I go through stages of having dreams where I see planes and helicopters crash, I don’t know if it’s because of what’s happened recently. I’m always worried that when I see them when I’m awake that I’ll see one crash. Ive looked on the internet and seen that it can mean that I’m not confident in reaching goals that I’ve set for myself but I don’t think that applies to me.
