This team has managed just FOUR goals in the last 14 league games.

Vardy is the captain and the attacking spearhead of the team.

Such a shameful record is primarily on him and him alone.

Not Daka.

Not Ayew.

Not Édouard.

Even Robbie Savage - captain of THAT Derby side from 2008 - feels able to look down on him.

Let that sink in. 😟😟😟

The cult worshippers (who sadly appear to include Aiyawatt and Rudkin) will have to face facts sooner or later.

The highest-paid player in our club's history is no longer fit for purpose.

Let him retire (or at least move on) at the end of the season with as much dignity as he can still muster.

Silly Billy

If we really love Vardy we need to set him free. His legendary status is sealed.

its just not nice to see him struggle in a struggling team. After what he had achieved this is a disappointing end to his time at LCFC. Maybe move to MLS for a few seasons. Come back than retire into s coaching role at the club

He’s got to go now a shadow of his former self

He just isn't a prem striker anymore sadly

That stuns me honestly. It feels like he doesn't want it to end on a sour note but definitely in hindsight should have bowed out with Sharky last season.

seriously no more silly contracts, he’s cost us £7.2m this season on wages! 30k a week is ok, no more

You'd like to think that his decision to stay wouldn't be money motivated but you do get the impression that he'll stay so long as Top will gladly give him £140k a week.

Yeh he should have left last season. To be fair he like all of us didn’t know Enzo was gonna bail on us like he did! It’s just a sad unfortunate season all around. I feel bad for our legend. Well atleast he got paid well.

Still take him in the Championship tbh under a new manager.

Thinking he was proving himself still capable under Cooper with a good goal return until the whole team went to pot under RVN.

If and that’s a massive ‘IF’ the club sorts itself out, finds night in shining armor manager to save us and the team regroups with our remaining best players, academy stars and some good new recruits we might just do well in the championship BUT that’s looking like such a big ask. Especially the state we are in. I’m not hopeful but I feel really down right now. Let’s see what happens - stranger things and all that….

Such a tough one

On one hand it’s Vardy but on another it’s a player earning significantly more than his current ability should at a time when we need to get rid of that culture and of those that can go above anyone at the club directly to Top.

There has got to be a limit to the contract we offer him.

£140k for Vardy is the same in amortisation as a £15m striker and £80k.

Eduoard has cost us more this year than Vardy has.

Someone needs to sit down with Vardy and tell him it's time to move on. That  none of this is his fault, and we’re grateful for everything he's done. But it’s time. Go and enjoy the final years of your career in the MLS or somewhere, you’ve earned it.

He is not OK on 30k a week his time has come and gone clear out rebuild. One of the key things wrong with the club is too much sentiment and loyalty. Some serious hard nosed management is needed.

Please just go and play for someone else. It's painful watching you play for us and it's even more painful watching people make excuses and idolise a guy that's contributing to one of the worst premier league seasons ever.

MLS or A League should be the next stop.

Thanks for the good times Vardy but it's time to let go of the past.

Tricky one. The club would have to insist on a huge drop in wages and if he stays the usual complacency could set in and no serious attempt made to find a replacement. Daka didn't score many last season and one this term so Leicester are going to need to recruit 2 more strikers at least if he goes.

On balance I think Jamie deserves a new opportunity maybe abroad for one more season but I hope he remains linked to the club in the future in some role maybe motivational

£5m+ per year....it doesn't pass the sniff test anymore.

But I guess also he can’t command that from us as his contract is up. He would have to adjust to market rate of where we are and his age.

Only way he gets big money now is abroad as a name

Yeh but we have an owner who’s decisions are emotion based ….so it’s not out the ques he would dish out another 6 figure contract per week.
