If he was an accomplished finisher he'd be at Barcelona.

And had a decent first touch.

For a player who 'can't finish' he seems to score a fair bit.

I think we'd really miss him if he ever left.

It's great having a player who can put the fear of God in to the opponents defence when he runs at them. It was the same with Vardy in his prime.

I do wish we could find a way to fit Barnes, Maddison, Iheanacho and Daka in the same team. I know that is definitely unrealistic.

Maddison or Iheanacho on the right. Iheancho as an inside forward is worth trying

Almost like how everybody knew what Robben was going to, it was still too difficult to stop. That run in behind to open his body up is vintage Barnes.

i think he thrives on us playing on the break. He's a direct winger with pace, not much of a trickter like Mahrez so when we've played with a slow build up, with little assistance from the full back his game is limited imo, as we are though he's at his best

Big turnaround on here, given a bunch wanted him dropped a week ago.

Nah, he really has been poor for a decent chunk of this season, so fair play to him, looks to have regained some much-needed confidence somehow after turgid displays against Bournemouth and Palace. He looked utterly terrified to take anybody on until Leeds rocked up and he remembered that it's actually quite fun to be a thorn in the fullback's side.

Long may it continue. Him and Castagne are both standouts for me in the wider change in the team's intensiteee this past week.

Despite him sometimes hiding, his work rate looking not great at times and my frustration that he doesn't always keep going at the full back over and over again.

Fact is we are a better team with him in it.

His tracking back against Wolves was much better than usual

The problem is that most people expect him to just dance past the full back every time he gets the ball. When he does it well he almost makes it look too easy, and this is too the detriment to the times when he simply can't, or he doesn't see the opportunity there.  He is definitely a confidence player and you can see the head drop when things aren't working.

Absolutely love Harvey!

A lot of our fans like to scapegoat Barnes when we’re losing but the fact is he’s one of the only players we have who has the balls to try and run at his man constantly. He’s obviously going to lose it a fair bit but that direct style he has is so rare.

If he was to ever leave I think that’s when we’ll realise how important he is to our side.

I don't think many doubt his capabilities of running past players and his endeavours to do so. It's his final ball and decision making people think is poor. Once he sorts that out he could actually be world class!
