In bold are players likely in match day squads of the 11 starters + 7 on the bench (+1 extra) Schmeichel Ward Jakupovic (maybe?) Maguire (hopefully?) Evans Morgan Soyuncu Benkovic Ricardo ChilwellJustin (U21) Fuchs Ndidi Tielemans (likely) Mendy Choudhury Amartey (maybe?) Silva (doubtful?) James and King (doubtful) Maddison Barnes Albrighton Gray Ghezzal (maybe? replace with new winger?) Facecloth Posted 6 July 2019 Share Posted 6 July 2019 (edited) Choudhury, Barnes, Benkovic and Justin won't need naming in the squad as they are 21 or under.You can use any player 21 or under in addition to the 25 man squad. Also 8 of the 25 have to have been trained at an english club for 3 years prior to 21 to be classed as homegrown. We've got no issue atm as Scmeichel, Chilwell, Maguire, Evans, Morgan, Maddison, Albrighton, Gray, Vardy, Ward, James, King and Iheanacho all count, but if we start off loading, most likely the last three, we'll only have a couple spare. Based on pre-season formations and comments from Rodgers, yeah, Slimani likely getting the cut and Silva would be given his spot, if I could still edit my original post.
