Got to December and am 8th in the league, can't put any run of form together. Think my last 7 results have been W L W L W L W. Got to the 3rd round of the cup before being knocked out by a PL side 2-0 which wasn't bad.

 

Had one of my ex players piping up in the media every week about this that and everything, so I signed him up after noticing he was a very good 30yo LB who left at the end of last season after 10 seasons and 264 games for the club. He moved to a lower level, signed him back on a free lol MOTM and an assist first game

Yeah I'm done. I've just full on rage quit. I mean this version isn't enjoyable in the slightest but that's just stupid. 

 

93rd minute of a champions league semi final first leg that I'm winning 2-1 away at Real Madrid. 

 

My keeper has the ball in his hands after catching a cross. Players moving back up pitch, game over. 

 

But wait. 

 

My goal keeper, defying all instructions and all tactical plans, attempts to punt it long and Chris Woods it straight in to Harry Kane's face (tbf, big target.)

 

The ball cannons off his dish square perfectly to Mbappe's feet who first time squares it straight back to Harry. Sigh. 

 

Harry Kane takes the worst shot I've ever seen, a tired, half hearted prod straight at my goalkeeper, pretty common in this match engine let's be honest. 

 

 Alas, my goalkeeper dives theatrically and gets two solid hands on it. Regardless, the ball then trickles slowly through him and rolls casually towards the goal line with my left side centre back just watching it calmly go in. Words can't describe how slow it was. 

 

I know all of this sounds so absurd that I must be exaggerating but honestly, to call this FIFA levels of dumb last minute manufactured drama would be an understatement of epic levels. 

 

My players in question all thrive off big matches, have really high mental stats, are consistent, confident, were playing well, high morale, good form. Honestly one of the worst things I've ever seen the match engine do in any version.

I stopped playing because I got fed up of seeing the same goals go in. Far post cross, far post set pieces and longshots. You almost never see any decent interplay centrally so it’s like you have to build a tactic for the ME rather than your players

Is it still possible to upload replays of goals/highlights in this version?

Wouldn't mind seeing the carnage you describe 😅

It is but I'm not sure how. I pressed record on the replay and it said it would then be available after the match. Nothing happened but I didn't save the game itself. Not sure. 

 

I'll have a poke later.

When starting with a team, how often do you take job offers? I NEVER do it but in my Sunderland save, I've been offered the UTD job and I'm tempted but I hate buying all these young future world beaters, building a cracking squad then leaving...

Rarely take offers personally mate, and only ever tend to apply if I feel I've reached a ceiling or I'm hitting a wall with restrictions. My last few saves have started in Latvia, Canada, Northern Ireland and Finland mind so it might be different elsewhere.

It's the mobile version I play so the playable countries are less exotic but when you have kids, I rarely get to sit down a play so I like that I van get the odd 10 minutes on my phone

So I play fm religiously on iso but I wanna try out the full version! Two things...

is it worth it?

And how would I be sure my laptop will support it?

Which league has the shortest season? Get so bored with 60 game seasons... can’t trust my coaches either to go on holiday... They pull one-legged Larry  Out of the reserves and put him on the wing.. stick blind bill in goal and give away my 10 point lead at the top with a majestic losing run...

must admit I hadn’t calculated the amount of games but Even though there’s less teams don’t Scottish teams play each other 4 times?  Plus some countries play one cup others play two cup competitions

I’m doing a save in the Norwegian league. 30 game league season and only 1 cup ( if you’re not in Europe ) you can get through a season pretty quickly. Decent country to do a save in as well

Iceland is a 22 game league season but has a longer format League Cup played before the start of the season, and possibly another cup scheduled like it is here.

 

That was about 3 years ago though, I know it's still a 22 game season

Yeah it's too easy, I got offered both France & Spain's jobs when I was managing FC Andorra. That just wouldn't ever happen.

It's definitely worth it, but the past couple of years haven't been half as good as the ones before them.

Managed to overturn my predecessor's horrific start and won the Georgian top tier with Dinamo Tbilisi, got the cup in the bag in all. Made the UCL groups, finished bottom but the cash in the bank is such a cushion for these sides.

 

Just started my second season (runs March - Nov), recruited well over the winter pre season, boys from the Ivory Coast and Syria and let me tell you lads, the other sides truly aren't ready. Won the Georgian supercup 8-0 (which the fans rated as a B- performance the cretins) and have so far played 6 games, 6 wins, with a GD of +25. If I can keep that up, over a 36 game season it'll be the best part of +150, world class.
