majaco Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 Your hand is in a natural position if you are protecting Kevin de Bruyne's face.
don_danbury Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 favours the big sides mainly. it was clear evidence today.
Brainy Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 I think generally if your shirt has King Power smacked on the middle of it, it's a penalty And if you play for a team playing against such a side, there's no such thing as handball
Guest Kopfkino Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 The handball rule is the money teams get the rub of the green, the rest don't
JJD_LCFC Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 If we were an "English top 6 side" the villa one would have been a penalty. Further evidence var only favours the big sides. Kelechi not even reviewed for a penalty today as well. KDB no pen, Praet definite pen. Football is a very strange game when you try and think logically.
themightyfin Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 Sorry. For me it was a clear handball and a penalty all day long.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 The VAR ref needs to lay off the crack when he is supposed to be working.

Funnily enough I spoke to a Villa fan after the game and he said "teams like us don't get those penalties, teams like Liverpool, Man U do"😂
oxford blue Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 KDB a clear penalty. He moved his hands to the ball; it was deliberate. If he did not want the ball to hit his head, he should have moved out the way. Same VAR ref didn't send send off lo celso for stamp on Chelsea player. I expect he won't be doung VAR duties for a while.
Tom12345 Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 Indeed a clear penalty especially in light of the Praet penalty decision. The ball was on target, KDB hands were in the way, his hands should not have been raised especially when you are in the wall (you either use your head or move out of the way). Whether or not unintentional, that is a risk you take when you raise your hands. Clearly denied a goal bound effort. Clear penalty.
splinterdream Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 Everyone that's played football knows it's a peno, what's most bizarre is sky pundits questioning with it is a peno
Dahnsouff Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 The Praet and KDB penalty claims were different, Praets had no justification (Not reason) whereas you could argue KDBs did. But, just cos he was being a wuss does not give him a free pass.
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 If the ball hits your hand it's a pen..................... unless you play for Man United/Man City/Liverpool/Chelsea.
UniFox21 Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 There aren't laws anymore, its whatever the f uck the officials feel like giving
fox in the sox Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 Quote Hands not in a natural position = both penalties. Making the body bigger = Praet penalty/ DeBruyne no penalty So confused with the laws now I'm not sure which one applies.
Guest foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 They are either both penalties or both not a penalty, the fact that only one was VAR checked is a joke too

It was quick, but they'll have looked.

TBF Laura woods is decent and knows her stuff but regardless the video ref has had a bad day if it did get checked but it just goes to show that the information needs to be better in the stadium

Had they decided it was a penalty they'd have told the ref to pull play back. That's why it doesn't appear on the screen. When the ball is dead and it takes 5 minutes pissing about looking at an offside, obviously it flashes up on the screen to let fans know what's going on. But yes, it's a bag of shit, run by the same incompetent idiots on the field. If the must insist on using it, make the onfield idiot look at a monitor and have the final say.
jmono84 Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 I think I’ve had enough of football now purely because of the awful officials! Absolutely awful decisions countless times during a game... I hate all the bullshit constant diving all over the pitch, it’s blatant but refs give soft free kicks time and time again... then you include the handball v Villa that wasn’t given, the ‘high foot’ against Maddison which led to Villas winner, Kel getting his head punched off, no check, handball against KDB, no check, handball against Praet, check and given! I like VAR but I hate the crap officials we have and all we have to do is accept it! ****ing joke!!
Pliskin Posted 22 February 2020 Posted 22 February 2020 You could accept it before, but now they have assistance it’s completely unacceptable.
