Popular Post Eden De Bruyne Posted 26 March 2020 Popular Post Posted 26 March 2020 According to the Belgian magazine Sport/Voetbal Magazine, Leicester sees Timothy Castagne (24 yo, Atalanta) as the perfect replacement for Ricardo Pereira, should he leave. Imo this is an excellent player. Just like Dennis Praet he's a bit underrated. His main position is Right Back, but in Atalanta he always plays Left Back and Left Midfield. I've also seen him play great games as a Right Midfield, as a Centre Back and as a Central Defensive Midfielder. He's the most versatile footballer I know and the first one i would select for a World Cup or European Cup in the Belgian team. I think he is highly recommandable. His defending is a little bit better than his attacking skills. If you can get him under 20M, it's a bargain. 7
Guest SO1 Posted 26 March 2020 Posted 26 March 2020 (edited) Never watched him play. Was rumored that Celtic were after him pretty hard. Replacement for Ricardo are some pretty strong words. Bet @henrik_62 has a bit more info on him than I. Especially being Congerton's best buddy and all that. Edited 26 March 2020 by SO1
North Leeds Fox Posted 26 March 2020 Posted 26 March 2020 Really good player! Just hope it's not a Riccy p replacement
Countryfox Posted 26 March 2020 Posted 26 March 2020 Loads of clubs monitoring him apparently ... if Ricardo is going fair enough .. if not then maybe money spent better elsewhere ..
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 26 March 2020 Posted 26 March 2020 Being in competition with Celtic is like being in completion with a lower Championship side. Pfffft.

That's my feeling too as this guy seems more of a "stay at home" type fullback. But as Chilwell, Ricardo, and Justin are the opposite who knows what the plan is. If we have as much flexibility with Castagne as we do with Praet i'll be very happy. God its nice to be talking about football for a change

Ric Flair Posted 27 March 2020 Posted 27 March 2020 He is superb and incidentally Rodgers wanted him at Celtic a few years ago. 1

lcfcsnow Posted 27 March 2020 Posted 27 March 2020 He lost his place in the Atalanta side this season.

Tbf to him, they do have other good options in gosens and hataboer. Hes also struggled with injuries and into the last year of his contract come the summer. Still a very highly thought of player for them. Think if chilly went, this would be a very shrewd signing.
VLC86 Posted 27 March 2020 Posted 27 March 2020 He’s a good player, very versatile but losing Ricky P would be difficult. 2

Like the last 3 games because they want him to renew his contract. Very important player for Atalanta. Also scored their qualifying goal which got them through the CL group fase. 2
Eden De Bruyne Posted 28 March 2020 Author Posted 28 March 2020 He is very alround. Is really good in the attacking aspects. Like 7,5/10. But his defending is 8/10. Very good player in the Belgian team also. 1
Eden De Bruyne Posted 28 March 2020 Author Posted 28 March 2020 2018/19. 5 goals and 4 assists as a wing back. 2019/20 2 goals 2 assists. It's not like he can only defend like people suggested. 1
