Like your thinking but how do we fund looking after all those over 55’s for the next 40 years?!!!

🙂

Same way we're going to have to fund them in 13 years time. What's important to get the economy going, is for young people to have work.

So they can pay all their earnings in tax to cover our pensions?

If you had your way I'd be retiring in July, and I'd be extremely glad about it, but it can't be done.

Does the VAT go to China ?

I believe families with children who are constantly growing is one of Primark’s main set of customers. Fairly sure as well there are multi item deals which make savings too. Primark have numerous license deals with the likes of Disney which makes them more attractive items to children.

There was a large queue outside the M&S around the corner from my house.

My daughter is the only one in my family who we buy clothes from Primark for. She's 13, so growing at an extraordinary rate, plus she's a bit of a tomboy so is constantly putting holes in her leggings and ruining things. Her friends shop there too, so she likes to have similar to them, which I understand. The rest of us buy better quality, but I know if I was on a really tight budget like I was in the not so distant past, I'd probably use it more myself. It certainly has its place.

Well either post match or on Sunday I’m planning to come into Leicester go to Gelato Village get three scoops of Ice Cream to take away and nip into the Highcross to see if anyone is willing to accept the gift card I found on the back seat of the car the other week.

A lot of us who aren’t key workers, have worked through this mainly to make sure the company we work for is still in a position to continue trading, it’s not been easy and taken its toll on people. As a skeleton team we haven’t had more than a day off in month’s, now we’re just coming out the other side so still won’t be able to take holiday anytime soon. Some of us need a little normality, we ordered a Costa order into the office last week and it was fantastic.

Yes I’ll probably be wearing a mask, self distancing  and taking precautions but I literally want to taste a little bit of normality again.

I'd assumed that the 1999 in your username referred to your birth year. Didn't realise you were a fellow old git.

Did you have a Yorkshire terrier you were particularly fond of 21 years ago, or did you have a truly memorable chocolate bar or Yorkshire pudding? :D

If i was 21 years old again, the last thing i'd be doing is sitting all day on a football forum!

I was going to order myself a book off Amazon.   But the good lady suggested we order it from the local bookshop instead.

It may cost a bit more, but at least that will support a high street shop, as opposed to some faceless tax-dodging multi-national.

My new (late) 2020 vow is now to spend in the local shops wherever possible.

And I feel a bit better for it too!  :)

We try to always use Local shops & markets, for most of the time...but its getting difficult, because many Local Business have disappeared...!!

Good stuff. Tough days for independent shops, let alone book independent book shops! We did have one in our small town. It’s now a Greggs :(

Found out afterwards the rental was ridiculous, and that’s why it closed. Sad.

Us too, and it’s now more important than ever. Will keep trying where possible.

You probably weren't born in the era when the moon was formed, but I bet you've seen it.

No but if you could point it out that’d be really helpful!
