I can't think of anything worse than shuffling round a shitty shop, packed full of breathy retards,

You have been to Primark then?  I went to the one in Woking literally once, and there was a fight in the queue for the till.  Never again.

Place looks like a bomb site on a good way, clothes strewn all over the place.

I’d hope all these people will be just as eager to queue up for the independent retail stores and restaurants which will really need the support, but I can’t see it personally.

Think you might be on to something here. A coliseum / shop, where you fight to get the best deals. The TV rights would be immense.

Where do you think they’re gonna drop their Primark and McD’s bags on the way home?

I've got no problem with Primark. I just cannot be arsed these days to sit in traffic, piss around with parking, fight through crowds, all so I can buy stuff that we can easily get online. Virus or no virus.

Long queues to get underwear if you're desperate as yours are full of holes or you can't be arsed to wash them maybe passable but joining a long queue in the heat during a pandemic to buy clothes you can't use to go to a pub, party, gig or restaurant  and pretty much to just to visit other clothes shops or B&Q seems a bit pointless anyway.

Trying to buy a bastard bicycle but every other bastard has bought the bastards

Judging from the decline in the number of cyclists I see since the easing of the lock down they're probably all stuck  in garden sheds where they'll probably stay now until they've rusted away and are taken out to take to the tip.

Really annoying, I do about 1,500-2,000 miles a year and mine is so creaky and unpleasant to ride now I need to upgrade. I'm really hesitant to buy second hand though as so many are stolen and having had one stolen myself I'd hate to end up funding the scumbags

There won’t be a queue for primark tomorrow so could some of these twats not just wait another day when they’ve already been waiting for over a hundred? lol

Buy a bastard who bought a bastard bike? Then only return the bastard who bought the bastard bike.

Leicester Retail Report:

- Lots of small shops still closed...some permanently by the look of it

- M&S: no queue, scattering of people

- Max Spielmann: no queue, 1 other person

- Most other shops: No queue, few people

- Nat West: small queue

- Sports Direct: queue of 100+ people the whole length of the precinct (possibly much further, didn't check)

.....steered well clear of Highcross, but assume that was subject to similar insanity

Is spending going to help the economy, as much of what is sold is imported.

Yes, VAT is one of the biggest sources of income for the government.

It will also, help keep businesses in trouble from going under.

If struggling retail companies open their shops and nobody comes they are fvcked because they have to take people off furlough to staff the shops which is a huge expense. If we don't spend money in the shops then that is a huge expense for no income.

Turned news on this morning. They were reporting from somewhere in Cheshire. Cars backed up as far as you could see just for people to go to Nike or Primark. First world problems man.
