What's the rush :dunno:

They still want people to be safe/alert but do they really think people care about social distancing in shops?! The queues I've seen this morning already are mad.

Stick to online!

I'm going to work. I shall spend money at the local cob shop on a delicious bacon and hash brown baguette in solidarity with my British working class brothers and sisters.

Nom nom nom.

Planning to stroll into the city shortly for the first time in 3+ months, as no bugger's given me any work for a week.

- Renew tenancy

- Buy a couple of photo albums if Max Spielmann is open

- Nip into Blunt's Hoes for a pair of slippers

Curious to have a nosey at how many are out and about and what they're up to.

It's a slightly tongue in cheek response to some of the headlines, and government comments.

Genuinely curious how many people will be rushing to the shops.

Primark will be a shit show today will be people queuing all around town like when ikea opened. Surely wait a week and then everything will be at a reasonable level to go shopping again

Shoppers in line at Primark in Birmingham as non-essential shops in England open their doors to customers for the first time since coronavirus lockdown restrictions were imposed in March.

Are people really this desperate for clothes?

We were historically known as a Nation of Shopkeepers (attributed to Napoleon? ) but it seems we've become this insatiable nation of shoppers and mobile coffee drinkers.

I don't even like waiting in queues unless it's something totally unavoidable.

Very interested in a Mini Cooper S - soft top.

I need to replace my car too as my current one is fvcked.

Not sure if it's a good time to buy/haggle or if dealers will stick to the advertised price.

I think you have to pre-book viewings and appointments so might go later in the week to have a nosey.

I hate going in tht shop at the best of times it is always busy but surely people can go a few more days with out it let the madness die down a bit.

Queueing to get in shops first thing in the morning? FFS

II wouldn't mind having wonder around but I can't be bothered with all the hassle, the queueing to get in, the social distancing and the obvious 'care-free' nature of some of the shoppers. And plus my shopping trips into town usually involve a fry up in the café, a pub lunch and pint etc.

I think until I'm back in the office, I won't be going into town.

There's stories of mega sales on in some stores. People love a bargain even during a pandemic.

lol

It's a strange emporium. 99% of its stock is garbage. How it has survived I don't know....well, I suspect I do know - location near station.

It's actually Blunt's Shoes, but letters keep falling off its sign, like in Fawlty Towers - usually the S - and they either don't notice or don't bother replacing it for months so become Blunt's Hoes.

Last pair of shoes I bought there are comfortable and have lasted well. Must have been a stock ordering error.

It’s like some people are predisposed to stressing themselves out lol

Its like McDonald’s all over again, except cheap, low quality clothes instead of cheap (if you can call it cheap anymore), low quality food. Don’t get me wrong, it serves a purpose especially if you’re looking for a couple bits on the low. But why’d you queue up for hours on end for it I have absolutely no idea.
