12th September is too early for me anyway. I dont know why they dont just delay next season to line it up with the 2022 World Cup if they're seriously not moving it. Wait until we can go to games again.

Should just be scrapped altogether.

Even if they allow people into games, it'll only be limited people and no away fans anywhere.

Just miss a season out and start again like normal in August 2021.

No chance of them doing that. Money rules everything unfortunately.

The clubs still have a lot of wages to pay.

Always think its better to play the bigger teams early on especially with the transfer window not being closed before the start of the season.

These have never been correct. Why do people even bother.

People should throw in random fixtures to try and catch the media out- they're so desperate for clicks and traffic they'd probably shove it through.

Southampton v Millwall on opening day! Brentford v Chelsea in huge derby curtain raiser!

On that topic, surely Chelsea will get a week at tops extra rest given their season was only a week longer than everyone else

They are not getting any extra rest. The EPL clubs agreed on a minimum of 30 days rest and Chelsea are getting 33 days if they start with everyone else on Sept 12.

Honestly, never thought I would agree with something like this but I do.

The end to last season has done nothing to wet my appetite for next season.

Yep, really not feeling it for the new season. Poor end to last season, not knowing when we'll be back in grounds and how many we'll be allowed to attend, the Europa League is two months away, just all feels very flat.

Agree 100% mate, I hadn`t missed a match, home or away for 50 bluddy years, in fact the lockdown games were the first time I had ever seen LCFC live on tv and I HATED it ! just can`t get myself up for anything to do with footie :-(

Got a 1 in 38 chance of being correct on the team and home/away combo.

Then x10 for getting all the possible matchups in one gameweek

Bookies could give very inviting odds to predict them and they'd still make alot of money.

Not up to, the new changes & challenges in life.......!!

Life is not playing ball..."Stop The World I want to get off",

Just what we need to go forward..

My tip would be to ignore anything and everything that comes out of a website with (Place) + Live in the title. A true cancer on journalism in this country that has ruined the integrity of every local newspaper going, the Mercury of course being no exception.

Truly depressing that in the space of 12 years, we've gone from Sporting Blue to the bottom-of-the-barrel clickbait we have now.

It's awful.

Fixtures released tomorrow, I'm usually so excited, but all I'm wishing is the shit away games like West Ham are first up with hope that we can actually let back in towards the end of the season.

But even then, when fans are let back in, it'll not be full capacity. It's awful.

You might feel differently if we actually play well

There isn’t even a might there. It’s the only way I feel good about us when I can’t go and enjoy myself.
