Wolves vs LCFC opening day "leaked" fixtures.

On that topic, surely Chelsea will get a week at tops extra rest given their season was only a week longer than everyone else

28-30 days rest they need to give from last fixture. So this weekend was the cut off. Therefore Manchester clubs will start their season a week later

For all these people that believe in fixture leaks - They don’t normally get finalised until the night before. Clubs and media outlets receive them 5/6am in the morning but they are forbidden to release them until 9am.

Which means 2 other clubs will do as well. 
 

Highly unlikely that they’ll play each other first, purely because TV companies want this derby played on the same day as another big derby so they can hype it up.

there’s fixture leaks every year. pretty sure we were meant to play Watford at home last season according to the leak.

If Man Utd and Man City are the only two teams that need a delayed start to the season, then surely they can fixture them to play each other on the opening weekend knowing that this match can be postponed until a suitable later date? This way all the other 18 teams can play their first fixture on the opening weekend.

 

Probably too logical for the PL to think like that and they will release the fixtures with 4 teams not playing on the opening weekend.

It would probably be the best time to play them. I’d imagine they will start slowly again as it will likely take them longer to get up to speed.

12th September is too early for me anyway. I dont know why they dont just delay next season to line it up with the 2022 World Cup if they're seriously not moving it. Wait until we can go to games again.

Would make sense like this. Isnt like we had a problem with high summer temperatures in this country. Suppose some countries could have an issue with that though and we need to be in cohesion with them maybe?

Those fixtures show the 2 Manchester clubs at home on the opening weekend. Massive clue there as to the credibility of them
