Some items, eggs are a common example, have a display until and then a best before date.

 

Re: eggs, there's a very simple way to test if an egg is off. Put it in water; if it floats, it has gone off. If it stays on the bottom, it's fine. I've eaten eggs over two weeks past their display until.

It would be fine. I always consider the BB dates a rough guide, only recently finished the eggs which had a November date on.

If I'm at home on a Saturday afternoon, I like to play a game of watching the results shows and then guessing which way the away fans travelling by rail will go home from each game, where they change etc.

 

I then check on the National Rail app to check whether I was right. Great fun.
