Albrighton is as high as Barnes, very clearly

It's actually a bit odd and looks fluid. They move from a 5 to a 4, it looks like they defend as a four until we get in to the final third when JJ is given licence to push up in the way Fofana was at times when he was on the right of the three.

JJ is frequently defending in an obvious line of three with the other two, extremely narrow and almost shackled to Fofana until its time to press.

The whole thing is weirdly asymmetrical where down the left it looks very standard.

I assume its a way of getting JJ, Albrighton and Fofana to all treble up on Son and leave Evans with Kane.

Ndidi does not quite position himself for a pass like Mendy does, does he.

N’didi is a better passer and the best “destroyer” in the league, however his positional and hold up play he isn’t as good as Mendy.
