I do kind of understand their issue, they got baited very well by the Wycombe social media team using the whole international player thing, and the only actual first team football experience he has is about 100 minutes for Swindon in League 2, so it is a bit jump from that to a relegation battling side in the Championship who could probably do with a striker with a history of scoring goals

I imagine it would be much the same on here if we were in that situation

Hopefully he can play enough and do enough for Wycombe to bring them around though

It was league one.

Stills step up but I imagine the Wycombe thinking is simple and they are looking to add some pace and youthful exuberance to their attack. From what I can see they play really direct and a simple style of play could really suit admiral.

They were in League Two last season

They punt it up to Aki and hope one of the attacking midfielders put in the back of the net. From what I've seen they have nearly zero other attacking options. As a team they're not bad and they are competing, but they're not getting the goals they need. Admiral isn't one of the most promising academy prospects we have, but he's better than their current options, and it's very much now or never for Admiral and the academy. I'd like to see Knight and Muskwe lift them out of the relegation zone but it's definitely an ask.

I have a feeling wycombe will be disappointed by the loan for Muskwe and itll look embarrassing for our club.

He has plenty of pace and power and having watched him a fair bit I'd say these were the positive attributes. The negatives are that he runs into blind alleys all the time without thinking and doesn't play with a lot of ball intelligence.

I don’t think he’ll be fantastic here either but bit strong to say embarrassed. They won’t expect him to go in there and score 15 goals.

Wycombe are up shit creek and I cant imagine they would've wasted signing him if he wasnt under pressure to score double digit goals to move them up from 24th in the table. Which makes me wonder that our club are more focused on his game time on loan than offering players that can fulfil what a desperate club is after.

How much have you watched him? Have you looked at wycombe's predicament?

I think you are missing the point. Muskwe never had that much confidence in the U23's so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

That’s really on them and their recruiting team. They have a very competent manager in Gareth Ainsworth who likes to play attacking football (from my very brief view of watching all of about 5 games in the time he’s been at Wycombe).

He had put an offer in for one of our players based on what he needs, which we have accepted.
It’s not on us to fulfill a clubs needs, we can’t possibly be in a position to say what they need.

He could find that his style is the missing link they have been looking for, he might be terrible but that is completely on Wycombe not us.

I agree with most of what you've said about the fact that its wycombe's responsibility. My concern is that irrespective of that that we are actively promoting one of our players that we have built up over quite a few years, and that's on us as a club also. I also think that for a kid who hasnt scored many goals prolifically including U23's that it might not be the best to loan him to a bottom of a table club regardless of what management they have. I do genuinely hope that he clicks there as you say and that he can find his style of play to score goals and integrate smoothly into their team.

Wycombe fan here - Admiral was brilliant today. One swallow does not make a summer, but if he carries on like this, I'd be happy if we just took Leicester loanees from now on, considering how good Josh Knight is (who also scored today, by the way).

See you in the 4th round?

Thanks for rhe feedback!

Random non Leicester q's- how do you fancy your chances for the rest of the season? If you do go down, would you consider yourself well equipped to come back up? Would be great for you guys to stay up and have championship season(s) with crowds.

Good luck for the season, at the risk of spunding patronising I hope you stay up.

You best hope you don’t see us in the 4th round, you wouldn’t have a team as all the loanees wouldn’t be able to play against us 😂

It's been a very weird season. Two of our new additions were injured the whole first half of the season, so we had to play an injured Bayo constantly. We got outplayed easily two of the first three games, then had a string of really debatable refereeing decisions disallowing our goals at the end of games.

Since then, we have been really competitive, going on a long run of each game either being a draw or settled by one goal (until Boro deservedly beat us 3-1 last time out). Looking at the table we look awful, but we have been in almost every game, losing to just that moment of clinical finishing from the experienced second tier teams.

The gutting thing is if we re-started the season, I think we would have the experience to avoid relegation. I just think we have left ourselves too much to do, even if we start turning draws into wins and losses into draws. Thankfully, Ainsworth will not lose his job, and we can hopefully continue to build in League One. I am not as confident as others of ever coming back up again - it is much easier said than done, and we are really a League Two club for size - but it is a really special era at the club, with likeable players who really give their all and have immense team spirit.

Well, I am sure that is way more than anyone wants to read about Wycombe!

Look to 2014-5 when we held up the table for so long but then produced our great escape.  Our great team spirit, giving our all, and never-say-die spirit were key elements in that escape, so looks like you have the right ingredients for it.  I hope our lads can help in pushing you up the league.

Sounds a bit like us in our first season back in the Premier League. We went on a huge winless streak that made it look like we'd gone. The thing is we were competitive in most of those games and never lost a game by more than 2 goals in the whole season. Then came the great escape and then the title the season after.

If you're competing there's always a chance that the breaks start going for you instead of against. Once you put a run together it could be the start of your own escape. The season's far from over
