It's a bad day for us but ultimately it has to be looked at as a bit of a freak result.

 

Doubt you'll ever see Roy, Root, Stokes and Livingstone out for ducks on the same day again.

 

Very confident they'll bounce back from this.

Old Trafford game will be high scoring I think. Usually is. 

 

Not sure about Lords!

I'm more concerned by a juicy green wicket appearing in the middle of a heatwave than our team performance to be honest.

 

Looked like something from an end of March pre season game lol 

 

Granted that doesn't explain India winning by 10 but I don't think the side batting first stood a chance on it.

Love those moments where for a short moment no one has any idea what's going on. Carse gets wrapped on the stumps, falls over, there's a tiny shout for an lbw from someone. Umpire gives it out after a small late appeal from bowler. As if there was confusion if its worth appealing because its so obvious to be an lbw lol

It reminds me of the WC semi final against NZ. Think that was Lords too. NZ set an unusual low total. It looked 'easy' enough but then the bowlers showed their worth too.

 

Today the ball was doing a lot for the England innings too so Willey and Topley have picked up on that and bowled perfect lengths. 

 

I can see Yadav perhaps sticking around. But we've lost two openers and Pant so early on. It'll be an unlikely win from this stage if we do...

I mean I know it’s excessively hot but this wicket just strikes me as being too dry. That’s why there’s just incosistent bounce and it’s 2 paced.

 

Cant help but think this is due to the new drainage system at Lords. I mean it’s amazing how quick it dries the outfield, but it looks to me like it’s sucked whatever water they’ve used on the wicket away.
