I don't think it's just England's incompetence. Think that's quite harsh on India to put it just down to that.

Indias seam attack has been pretty good. England's (because so many are out crocked) has been mediocre. The England batting is sometimes enough to account for that lack, but this time it probably won't be.

I get it that Stokes & England prefer to chase, but sometimes put the opposition under pressure by getting a big score batting 1st, especially if the conditions & wicket dictate so.

Also, Bashir & any other English spinner never get to bowl on a 4th innings track. Are we too one dimensional ?

Don't recall too many complaining about bowling first on Wednesday morning. Flat deck yes, but conditions looked friendly and Woakes was as dangerous as he's been. Both have been good tosses to lose really.

Absolutely. We wouldn't have won that test if India fielded better. Jaiswal alone dropped about 5.

Spot on, bowling first in both tests has been the wrong option. We got away with in the 1st test but won't in this one. Sets the series up nicely.
