I have just worked out on the two days I've been to at each test, my scorecard is:-

India 636/8

England 77/3

And I am off Lord's on Saturday

No chance of rain either, dammit lol

Records are there to be broken. He should have gone for it. Someone else will end up doing it instead

People saying it's only Zimbabwe but then surely everyone should be breaking records against them! Got to give some credit it's no mean feat at all

Zim rarely play against the 'better' cricketing nations, especially at Test level, due to politics & the fact that they aren't that competitive at that level.

Mulder's achievement is amazing, but it has to taken in context too.

Jadeja, one of the finest spinners in the world, has figures of 2-282 in the series, and he's bowled on 5th day wickets. I think whichever slow bowler we play, they're going to get smashed.

Which perhaps makes the case then for picking someone who offers something with the bat and/or more control as Jadeja does.

One change for England in 3rd Test - Jofra Archer in, Josh Tongue out

It’ll probably work out but Tongue is the only bowler who has taken a clump of wickets in the series, and top wicket taker. You also have Stokes, Archer and Carse who could all break down at any time.

Surely not even Stokes can bowl first with this forecast lol Especially when Woakes and Carse need the extra rest

Nailed on for India to win the toss this time.

Micheal Vaughan agrees .

Not sure if that is a good thing or not !

Duckett getting the hard part done then messing up the easy part. :(

He seemed focused on getting through the big guns then completely let his guard down against the ‘weak link’

Cawley got a good ball but how often is he out cheaply, he average is 31, time to move on.

He’ll be there until the end of the ashes at least

Root is getting a double ton here. Can feel it.

This slow game is right up his street. There's not even a sniff of an edge because his block and run game is so on point.

The attritional and survival style only really works if you are then able to push on later in the day and cash in on tired bowlers (nothing too risky)

Hopefully can get to 300 plus with a positive final session with no more than 1 more wicket.
