Only way we win this if Root bats until tea at least. Leaving 150 or less at most. Hopefully Root can drag Hameed a long to up the rate.

In the context of the World Test Championship, every single won Test counts. And speaking personally I'd rather England burn out rather than fade away in trying to go for that this time.

 

Need around four an over between lunch and tea while losing no more than two wickets to make it vaguely viable, though. Not massively realistic.
