4th ranked team vs 37th ranked team....

A side looking to win a major tournament, should consider anything but a comfortable win tonight, a terrible result.

Even Wales are ranked comfortably a better side, and they're a side full of championship/league one players.

Ah, football by rankings, not always the perfect way to judge what an outcome might be.

On rankings, England should win, the bookies offer odds on 3 results though, not one.

A sample of last nights results

France 1 Bosnia 1

Kazakhstan 2 Ukraine 2

Norway 1 Netherlands 1

Turkey 2 Montenegro 2

It isn't always simple to win, where would football be if it was?

Football by rankings?....

Maybe we shouldn't have a 38 game season then?

It's literally the reason we play sport, for competition.

Rankings mean something, to say they don't is silly.

I wouldn't expect Liverpool to consider playing at Burton to be a 'challenge'.

Yes, that was the whole point you made.

The examples I gave you were, rankings wise,

3rd v 58th

124th v 25th

43rd v 12th

39th v 67th

None of those higher ranked teams won last night. Germany and France couldn't beat Hungary at the Euros either. If you think it should be an absolute cakewalk, good for you

I'm off to watch itEnjoy the match, or not, whatever is your pleasure mate.

Lots of boos for the knee which was surprising. Anyone know what Hungary’s problem is with anti racism?

Apparently they were meant to point to the kick it out badge on their shirts. I couldn't tell if they did

Refereed our home match vs Porto in the CL and was absolutely horrendous

I think us and England are quite similar at times, especially against packed defences. Slow, ponderous, struggle to create anything, can't get the striker in the game, non existent number 10.

I'm playing devil's avocado here, but I'd wager they get pissed off with what they see as a woke,.patronising.former European nation living off glories past and riddled with its own societal problems preaching how they should and shouldn't behave..

Maybe. But possibly they still see us a country that voted out of the EU largely to 'rid ourselves' of East Europeans.....and then have the gall to lecture them about gay rights

It didn't say that on the side of the bus, did it?  lol

Glad to see you have expertise of what other countries have concluded en masse about it when no one here can agree why it happened.

Anyroadup, the football - shite, eh?
