I never found ScouseFox that funny on here when he was trying his hardest on here just to try and get a reaction like a 10 year old in the playground.

I'm not sure why anybody would try and copy that as an adult, espescially when they have a reputation on here as being a good lad... Shame

Who has ever mentioned that poster on this thread?

Imagine if the National Front was running the UK...  That's Hungary atm. (which is also why the far right Republicans in the US are friends with them).  Although there's been a modern strain of extremism/Nationalism running around atm, Hungary was already there...

Interested to see who you deem "far right" in the Republican party

Marjorie Taylor Greene. Ted Cruz. Greg Abbott.

That's just off the top of my head, there are plenty more. The Overton Window in the US is skewed so right compared to practically every other OECD nation it isn't even funny.

Anyway, on the topic itself, good result and it's always good to let the football do the talking.

The republican party AS A WHOLE stands for unopposed, permanent minority rule - fascism - because they know they cannot stay in power any other way - everything they do is to gain this outcome.  They are authoritarians, but only for their donors, as their care for the lives of their voters has been shown for what it is, when they want them to die in a pandemic, forcing them to take even further extreme measures to stay in power.

Trump + McConnell + Gingrich have been the main forces in that direction, now supported by a friendly Supreme Court.  Anyone who remains in the party is now tainted by association, especially when they should know better...

Authoritarianism, (whether a dictatorship, monarchy or fascist government (where the entire government acts as a dictator)) is INHERENTLY far right, politically, (top-down) with the opposite (e.g. direct democracy) (bottom up) being far left.

Everything began with the French revolution.  It existed in a top-down monarchy at the time, which also controlled the economic system, (from land and property, to all the tools and produce, too!) and  as such, both were far right systems at the time.  The revolution occurred because their control left the general workers with not enough to live on...

What came out of this was a left-wing economic system (which became known as socialism), where it was the workers that owned what they needed to work, (the 'means of production'), and a short-term left wing political system (Republic) that then got retaken over by the latent monarchists that led to Napoleon...

You'll notice over the past century in particular, that most authoritarians used left wing (ish) economic systems, that had been thought of from after the French revolution, to gain and hold power, that they then used to mask their authoritarian politics.  Fascism is what Mussolini started off by calling a complete 'totalitarian state', combining political and economic, systems, but, by application, this was really purely about political power and organization.

(Since this failure to distinguish authoritarianism from economics served both sides of the cold war, no-one cared to make such a distinction, and so comparing representative democracy+capitalism to (authoritarian) communism was fine for both sides), which has affected perceptions, understanding and teaching ever since - (propaganda WORKS!))  Confusing politics for economics when humanity always considered them separate, for propaganda reasons, is how you get people saying that the Nazi's were left wing extremists, rather than far right (fascists+dictator), regardless of economics.

The lesson for humanity is that it's the political system of authoritarianism that's usually the most damaging for its state, and others, rather than the economic system it uses, and this is what the US GOP stands for and is therefore a threat to everyone, given the power of the US itself.

--------

As for the match, we definitely LEFT them with a RIGHT pasting in the second half :P

Unfortunately, even at what is deemed as old these days, I’m naive and would like for the broadcasts to show these ‘monkey chants’ and embarrass the people.

Maybe I’m an idiot but I don’t look at people as being anything other than people, and those that have different views to that should be embarrassed and humiliated rather than hidden.

Belittle their lack of intelligence rather than giving them the small wins of “English Tv are talking about us!”

Well done England best way to stick it back to the Hungarian bigots in the crowd is with a 4-0 thumping. Could have and would have been a bigger thumping had SugerKane remembered how to shoot. I bet if that was Leicester he was playing against the bugger would have taken all his chances! Typical. so for being worth 160 mill+ he scores a header from 4 golden chances. Anyway, on we go to the next game hopefully the crowd won't be as hostile and dumb.

This shows the exact hypocrisy of uefa. They can do all these nice slogans but they don't really care. If they did they'd put their money where their mouth is. They won't. Time to ban these bstards and fine heavily their fa's but they won't. Uefa does a lot of talk but very little action. Cowards in my book. Racism deserves action. Real action

As for football:

everyone: ”play Grealish!!!”

Everyone else: “he won’t get played he’s a Villa player”

Southgate: “he’s not ready to start for England”

3 weeks later - *£100m transfer to Man City

Southgate: “he’s ready”

We played a different formation for starters last night

Can't help but think of the hypocrisy here given the majority of racist abuse these players face week in, week out come from fans based in England, albeit online. If we lose that game 1 0 and sterling misses a penalty we all know what the fallout will be so let's not bend over condemning the Hungarians without a bit of perspective. Obviously it should be condemned and rightly so but we need to start looking at how we can sort it out here before we get outraged every time a backward Hungarian does something racist.

Interesting that ITV put Gabriel Clarke as close to the Ultras as possible to make sure he heard something, not sure whether the players heard anything or are just going of ITV saying they'd heard it.

Sadly not surprising. Must be embarrassing for the many Hungarians who I'm sure are not racist.

Eefa/Fifa had no hesitation in coming down hard on the english FA and banning the team from competing and rightly so. We saw the authorities had a back bone. So, where is it with regards to the constant racism and violent behavior of certain European teams like Hungary? Why is there a reluctance to keep handing out puny fines and games without fans. Especially when it comes to repeat offenders. Bale makes a good point on BBC Sport when he says 'whats the point of constantly opening new investigations when the evidence is clear to see for 90 minutes?". Throw the book at them ban them from the World cup - hit em where it hurts! Just look at this picture. If all those mugs in the front row can't be identified, arrested and banned for life than our players should just walk off the pitch. The points get awarded to the team being abused. Does anyone have the balls at these mighty institutions?
