Really interested to know the other perspective but all you get back is words like “deluded” “inaccurate” “ungrsteful” etc. what is it they we’ve seen to suggest this is going to be fine ? Calm down. Keep your head and hang on in there.

I would say he bears at least some responsibility for what is statistically the worst defence in the premier league since xGA stats began… It is fairly impressive we have stayed clear of the relegation battle based on stats and performances. 5

The Horse's Mouth Posted 13 March 2022 Posted 13 March 2022 This is an odd one to go for him tbh, we played papy Mendy who when he last laced his boots the thing we were worried about was ebola. 1

That’s a bit out of date now, I think we’ve got a bit better since then. Doesn’t change the wider point which is that the defending has been genuinely embarrassing this season. Whether we end up being the worst, or just one of the worst, defences of the last 8 seasons is irrelevant, the fact we’re even in the conversation is shocking.

There is actually no actual reasoning or intelligent debate to justify the use of the words. It’s just big words that sound right. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty on both sides who can conjure up genuine opinions but I have found those who can’t come up with a point worth debating try to throw in the “right” words to seem like they can get involved.
An Away Move Posted 13 March 2022 Posted 13 March 2022 (edited) Rodgers is always just one step behind the fans. We all saw that zonal marking wasn't working. He changed it weeks after. We all saw his negative subs weren't working. Weeks later he makes attacking ones with the benefits reaped. Now we all know that Iheanacho, and for that matter Daka, don't do so well playing on their own up top. When is he going to change that? You'd have thought he'd have learned from last year when Iheanacho was banging them in prolifically in a two. Edited 13 March 2022 by An Away Move 1 1
MattFox Posted 13 March 2022 Posted 13 March 2022 We’ve been laughably bad this season in the league and blown a chance to get a foot hole in the elite twice despite hiring him to do that. We’re also in a similar position that got Puel and Shakespeare sacked. Not sure what reason there is to keep him other than Europe where we’ve also performed dismally under him on many occasions 1

ARTY_FOX Posted 13 March 2022 Posted 13 March 2022 He's not gonna be sacked. Should have been by now though. Its a real shame. Look forward to the next manager.

JR99 Posted 13 March 2022 Posted 13 March 2022 Nice to see him show a bit of passion at the end though, speaking to Anthony Taylor and showing a bit of fire... wish we'd see that same fire in his subs next 2
