I still can’t get over Kelechi’s performance tonight, he could have easily had a bucket of assists to go along with that goal. Just unreal.

Ridiculous tonight, his movement we spot on. Shame Vardy was wasteful again tonight, we could've had a few.

And he could have scored a bucket full of goals against West Brom in the previous game. One of these days - hopefully in the Cup Final - he’s going to put it all together and hand out a proper hammering. Brilliant player.

Vardy could have killed the game off for sure. But he’s still getting into the right positions which is the important thing.

Hes just taking an extra touch when he should be shooting at the moment. It'll come.

Still buzzing from yesterday's result. Love to see us mix it up, we dominate some games and win and others we grind out results. Shows how much we have developed as a club. Nacho is our "born again striker". Imagine when Vards is also back firing! - Barnes being back - JJ back. The future looks bright. So proud of this team

He had an off day, we know he is better but you get that with very young players.

...he is better, than how he is presently performing!!!

He is playing as a Wing Back and he is either playing to instructions or feel he cannot commit fully to running at their defence and getting robbed upfield. I suspect in a back four with a winger in front of him, he feels more confident and uninhibited to make the runs we are accustomed to seeing.

We have got to keep nurturing his talent, he is certainly better than what we saw last night.

Glad when the final whistle went. Not a classic performance but well deserved over all. Kelechi really is on fire isn’t he? Anyone else thought Maddison looked really out of sorts? Seemed to be ambling around as if he didn’t care much.

First half yeah, but think that's largely down to the fact that Palace bullied the midfield and didn't give him or Youri time on the ball.

45-60 I thought he was really good, buzzing around between the lines and trying to make things happen. Got to remember he's coming back from an injury as well.

Brendan has said himself his touch isn't what it was right now. To be honest, we're gonna need him big time for those last 3 games. If he can do something special that gets us a point at Spurs for example, then that may well be enough. Wouldn't surprise me if Ayoze starts against one of Saints or Newcastle, as his record is great against them

Here's me at the start of the season wondering why we are going into a campaign and the only backup to Jamie is Nachoman!

I will admit when I'm wrong and the potential he always had is shining through now.

Is the buy back clause thing finished now?

I genuinely couldn't fault anyone last night, yes there was one or two iffy desicions, but they were from young players learning their trade.

I wish I was  as good as any of them on their worst performance.

I noticed this and Teilemans seemed to lose the ball a lot and miss place passes, still we have bad days and other players step up like tonight, hopefully back to their best next week.

Reminded me of the title run in, don't know if I was "enjoying" it, too nervous, and with VAR you find yourself not celebrating the goals in the same way. Over-riding fear was that someone was going to get hurt, there was a phase where Palace were really diving in and following though recklessly and the ref had set the temperature of that by letting bits and pieces go unpunished. That Evans tackle, top class.

"In the first half I wasn't happy at all" said Brendan Rodgers after the last game at West Brom.
After the first half last night he must've been absolutely bloody disgusted, (which as we all know, is the most anger any one person can possibly produce)
It was riddled with mistakes, poor passing, bad first touches, dozy decision making and was far worse than at West Brom, in my eyes, yet we still came right.

Iheanacho wins the game and continues to maintain our top 4 CL aspirations, it's a proper Leicester City story and fits our narrative style perfectly. He's completely brilliant.
The defence stood out again and stood strong, some of Fofana's challenges were world class.
Tielemans did do a lot of work, but just with not so much end product. That chance he had was going in, but then it didn't.
Still, he clearly is the pitch boss now.

Where was Maddison? I've worked with people on monday mornings with Carling clogged brains and jaeger-bomb eyes that have put in better shifts.
I've always felt, #JM10's biggest challenges are in his head and that's what it looked like, to me, last night.
I hope he's clearer headed for Southampton because Perez showed he's more than capable of starting ahead of him.

First great result against a team full of giants.   Tough going a goal down.

Now I'm only whisping, but could Ian be our next JD.?

Up the city.   I think we can win the Cup with this combo.

Interesting that since Maddison's return to the team that Youri has continued to take the majority of the set pieces, could it be that Madders has lost the role of primary set piece taker due to recent events?

Not that Youri’s are that much better.

It's really only the important thing if he's putting some of those sitters away.  Fortunately Kelechi is on another planet at the moment and carrying us offensively.

Prime Vardy would have put them away. He will come back, don’t worry.

He's old, there are no guarantees.  I hope he does, but I think his future as soon as next season is as an impact sub.  Which means the overarching question is wether Kel can do this as a lone striker, working with Barnes and whoever we dig up for RW.  I think he can, but so far he's been far more successful with two up top so it's going to be interesting to find out.

The thing for Vardy is he needs to follow up a goal with another one in the same game or the next game and he'll be fine. Last night was so close to him doing so, he was in great positions at times so it's only a matter of when it clicks again.

I agree with the "it's only a matter of time" part...

Not to single you out but I think a lot of people are underappreciating how hard Palace worked in that first half to make us look ineffective.  There really weren't that many occasions where an attack broke down because of an easily avoidable error, we just didn't have any time or space and the ref was happy to let them get very acquainted with our lads.  Second half was more about them not being able to maintain their levels than it was about us being useless in the first imo.

I agree, it's always easy to dismiss the organisation, effort and energy of the opposing team and lay the blame with our own mistakes and that's pretty much what I've done.

Although, I thought Palace were terrific in the first half, they were up on us and deserved the lead at half-time.

Even we had decent chances, but I was just frustrated with our overall application in that first half and I will disagree with you, I noticed far too much loose play and mistakes considering what was made of it during the WBA game.

Palace is not a terrible team.  They have guys who can hurt you on the counter, and an Owl-managed side is always going to be pretty organized and competitive.  Still, things got better for us when Albrighton came on and give us a wide presence, as Maddison did nothing while he was on the pitch.  It's not that Albrighton did anything either, but just having him where he was positionally opened things up for the strikers.
