This notion that we have potentially kept Everton up is getting ridiculous now. The 6points they picked up against Chelsea and Man United nothing to do with it at all, or beating Arsenal or Newcastle! If Everton stay up it’s because they’ve done it over a season :dunno:

No but if we beat them last week the morale is on its arse and almost no coming back. It may not have been down to us but we allowed them a 92nd min equaliser and rolled over for them last Sunday. We are a huge chunk of a reason if they stay up

Part of the reason maybe (well 1/9th of the reason), but where do you draw the line? The four points West Ham gained against us has contributed to their top 7 finish but we aren’t responsible for that. It just feels like being negative for negative sake and using something as a stick to beat us with with no real meaning behind it. It’s more frustrating because they are such a poor outfit and I get that 100%

The Butterfly Effect - there is nothing to say that had our results against Everton (say) been better that other things would have necessarily remained the same.

Quite. They've played 18 other teams in the league, we're not so special as to "save" Everton from relegation. There a hundred moments which the end result will have hinged on.

Maybe, but it’s pretty rare these days to have a one club man.

Kind of jealous West Ham took the plunge with signing Bowen and fair play to them. Can you imagine if we had Bowen and Barnes on either side :o

Yeah, we'd lose by less, but still concede a goal a game from corners.

Tbf having seen it, I do feel Everton didn't get the rub of decisions. The shirt pull is, at the very least, a foul if it's in the box for a corner. Ref would stop play for it. Then the Brentford player should have had a second yellow.

But the two Everton reds were deserved.

Great to see Vardy giving way so awarely for the first goal.

It looked like maddison was kind of apologising after and vardy was like "it's OK, we scored!'

Imagine the goals vardy would have got of he was selfish! 😄

I suspect Vards was saying something like 'don't be daft, it was the right call'
