Anyway to watch this instead? 😂

God I would definitely chose the u23s given the choice. I’d happily pay too.

Is it beyond the realms of possibility that Brendan might decide to chuck Sammy Braybrooke in the first team at some point with Youri out? We struggled so badly today with playing through Chelsea’s high press and I wonder if Brendan feels there is enough guile in a midfield pairing of Soumare and Ndidi. He reminds me of Leon Britton and I wonder if Brendan might try and find a fresh spark to get the team going.

I suspect that Brendan will worry about the physicality of the PL and that it would be unfair to drop him into the current side with their problems.. look at the 19 y o that klopp brought on today at 4-0. Brendan would be content to play SB in that kind of situation!

Something that was actually mentioned in the Athletic article about him earlier today, from a source within the England set-up

“Don’t be fooled by his physicality,” the source says. “He reads the game so well and makes so many interceptions. He can get into physical duels but with his size it is about thinking his way through games."

Turns out he is actually 5ft7 as well, just the way he plays with a low centre of gravity makes him look really short lol

It’s one thing being stronger than you look in U18 football but the prem is another level completely …

Next time we are looking for coach at Youth levels, the is a German chap (Dennis Kutrieb) managing Ebbsfleet United in National League South wide, who is doing a wonderful job.  I can see him moving to a EFL Club in the not to distant future.
