It'll end up being some random on loan if anyone, gets down to the last week and clubs are now looking to shed players who won't be involved for them as much. Only chance of a big upgrade coming in is if we shift a few out permanently IMO. If we had the budget sat there I think we'd have seen some movement.

Seen it so many times in the past where we've had the budget and it's gone down to the wire though. That's been on Rudder's watch too.

Not heard anything for weeks now, but previously he's been a long term target and both he, his agent, his club are aware we are willing to do a deal.

 

Player was said to be interested in a move away from Italy this summer; but his club have already sold one big asset, so I suppose no big pressure on them to sell.

Neres would presumably cost a lot less; and Ajax are usually open to selling their assets, even starting players (and Neres is generally on the bench).
