I hope so too, just don’t think it’ll be for the next couple of years. If PEs doesn’t pull it’s finger out in the near term I worry a fair bit. Also for footy, I’m not sure what kind of game will really sell as there seems to be such a divide between those who want a sim and those who want it arcadey and action packed (especially for FUT). 
 

Here’s hoping for some positive news though!

In a quick statement via social media, EA revealed that following a patch this past 16th October that completely removed the glitch, the devs have taken action against thousands of cheaters in the past days.

First i have heard of that but i dont really do social media. Id have took a 7 day ban though if it got me out of division 4.

Am I right in saying Youri Will become a 89 IF we get to the knockouts? 

 

3 wins has 2 arrows on it and reaching the knockouts has 1?

Correct. Then they cant be upgraded further as they will be bringing out road to the final cards after the knockouts.

Opened mine last night and nearly passed out when Mbappe was the card that showed up (via the companion app) only for it to be a loan lol then another little Frenchman popped up in Kante… got nothing of note in the first pick then the second I had a choice of Lewandowski or KDB… also had Di Maria in my main pack 🔥

So, the game has been out nearly a month, what’s people’s thoughts on the new rivals, play offs and weekend league format?

 

Personally I hate it, I’ve attempted the play off’s 4 times now and qualified once and I’m fast losing interest in the game because of it.

 

In past FIFA’s I was comfortably a gold 3/2 player, but this year I find the play offs match making to be such high a standard I only win 3 or 4 matches.

 

The rewards for playing Rivals (division 3 rank 2) and play offs are atrocious and you only get rewarded if you actually qualify for weekend league, which means that if you miss out you are immediately at a disadvantage to everyone who does, unless you have the time to trade (supply seems to be high, so this appears to be more difficult than ever) or pay to win.

 

I wonder if the latter is EA’s plan for more money, or am I being too cynical?

 

What’s other people’s views? Am I in the minority? Interested to get other peoples thoughts :thumbup:

Pretty similar to be honest.

 

I’m quite enjoying the gameplay in rivals, pushing towards Div3 and generally most games are competitive. The rewards are poor though in terms of packs and even if you do get an 86-88 rated player most are worth very little on terms of coins. Haven’t qualified in 2 (could be 3) attempts and not been that close to be honest so was losing interest in that mode. Although tbh I’m not missing the pressure to play 20+ games over the weekend. Squad battles is a challenge as well!

 

My team is worth basically nothing although I have a decent silver team! Packed nothing worth more than about 15k and with the market so flat trading is harder. Plus even 80 rated rate golds don’t sell.

 

Feels like EA is definitely making coins harder to come by so parting with your own coins is the easiest route to a decent team.

 

May be wrong but think a lot are in a similar boat. I’ve faced very few god squads and only played my first icon today. Very rarely face say a 186 squad.

 

Overall 7.5/10!

I’m not a fan of the play offs, I’ve qualified both times I’ve tried but they’re definitely the hardest games I play out of any game mode. I think they should lower the amount of wins needed (4 out of 9)

 

The fut champs rewards are very good, I’ve stopped at 8 wins both times. I think the rewards for that are similar to what the elite rewards were previous Fifa. 
 

As for the rewards for everything else, they’re very poor and there’s no incentive to play many games. Along with the objectives and sbcs, I’m surprised with how little there’s been.
