I think the majority are worth picking up as long as the team they play for look good for winning 5/10 games and getting that first upgrade, I opted for Malen as his card is already quite meta, 1 decent game for him along with the upgrade for 5 wins he could be a ridiculous card… snapped him up for 27k thinking it was a bargain! Noticed last night he was down to 23k

Nice. I rattled through the hybrid league and nation sbcs today. Out of 12 packs i got Rashford 3 times. 250k in the bank as i already have him untradeable.

Anyone know how the FUT Champs playoffs work? Do you play people in your Rivals league, or is it random abilities?

I keep hearing people say they struggle in the leagues but qualify easily so I'm assuming random people, not 100% sure though sorry

I’m struggling like hell in division 6 now, but assume it’s because the usual higher division players are working their way up.

 

I have enough points to play the plays offs, just wondering whether to wait until it levels out a bit or just play it. I’m not bothered about playing the first FUT champs this weekend.

Played a couple of hours on the free trial last night still can’t defend on this one 😂 keepers seem quite good from short range shots. Packed Dudek as well from a 15 k pack but will sell as prob won’t play again until Xmas now

I'm in DIV 3, found playoff much easier, so I'd back up @Kyuubi comment.

Actually just been promoted to division 5 since, but main thing was struggling with is that most players are super aggressive and I struggle to defend through balls with teams that play Werner and or Mbappe. It was like playing a champs game when you are doing well and the ability level of players matched to you increased with each win.

 

That and I struggle to score and I’m refusing to cave in and exploit the green timed finesse.

 

However I did play a play off game just to test it out and I won that 2-0, so maybe it is  a bit easier. Will play a few more games tonight and see.

Ball rolls and fake shots will help especially with 1 on 1 etc

Best way to deal with that is stop it at source, what depth do you play? I play between 60-70 depth, meaning there is more pressure on the ball.

I play at 60 depth, try as I might I can’t get my two CDM’s (Allan and Pogba) close enough to stop them. Especially if it a double tap through ball, which seem to defy the law of physics to hit the sprinting player perfectly.

 

I’m sure it’s just needing to get to grips with the game, so thanks for the tips. I’ll see if I can improve using your suggestion.

Created a club and started in League 2 on career, Christ it's hard to score and also defend. The absolute worst is through balls, even on clubs, they just go straight to the defenders even when your teammate has made a run out wide, well annoying.

 

Same as every year tbh, they'll bring out an update in a week or two and it'll all become easier and mean it's exactly like the previous 5 years.

Was planning on sitting on the champs playoffs thing for a week or so but got sucked in tonight…. Safe to say the qualifiers are worse than what champs has ever been absolute sweat fest man… doesn’t help when you’re cruising to a win to give you a 3/0 start only to get kicked back to the main menu and given a dnf and a loss!!! You can’t be having things like that when the margin for error when it comes to qualifying is so small!! Got back on it though and I’m currently 4/1! If I do manage to get the 1 win required from the last 4 I’m already dreading what champs is going to be like 🤣

 

update: finished 5/1 then gave away 3 wins… hopefully karma is on my side this weekend

Played a few single player drafts while doing the trial and can not get past 2 wins 🙈🙈 I have enjoyed playing it even though I am struggling to score and defend 😂

This is complete BS. I was division 5 and gold 3 last year, I’ve just lost all 9 champs qualifiers by at least 3 goals. Literally no point in playing the game.

Managed to get through the play offs, easier than I expected. Gave my last two games away, hopefully this is something most players will do. 
 

Probably a good idea doing them at the weekend when a lot are playing in the finals.
